  1. Massive no. You will affect your all important numbers on roll as well as skewing every report that comes out of SIMS.
  2. Assistant Head with responsibility for data, IT systems etc.
  3. We have created two profiles. If a member of staff does not log in as a parent they will not receive any messages specific to their child or see any forms or be able to book and attend parents evenings. We learned this the hard way!
  4. If your timetabler has assigned correct levels to courses in Nova, i.e. KS3, GCSE, A Level, then the course and class should appear for you to select on your subject templates. If anything has gone wrong with that process, you can fix it in Course Manager. I find some fixing is required every year! Open the course and on panel 5 (Classes) click on New and find the missing classes to add manually. Finally, and whilst still in Course Manager, check that your head of department and link line manager is up-to-date. To do this click on panel 6 (Supervisors). If there have been any changes and the supervisor does not appear here as Head of Department, they will not be able to see marksheets for their subject. The same applies to the member of SLT who manages the department. I put these in as Curricular Manager.
  5. We have uploaded a PDF to the SIMS homepage that shows all access arrangements. We have also created and populated a SIMS AM comment aspect called 'Access Arrangements'. This has been added as the first column in all relevant AM templates.
  6. You can create a Group Analysis in Assessment Manager. This can be run to show outcomes as numbers or percentages. It shows summary data by any key groups that you have set up. You will need to read the guidance to set up but, once created, analysis grids can be used over and over. 7. Thanks for posting the update. Downloaded and imported KS2 straight away There were pages and pages of the error "Result had missing result date so date of 01/06/2022 allocated". People might not want to print all of those!
  8. Yes, we have created a template that looks like our school letterhead, including crest. It is set as the default.
  9. Same thing happened to me. Don't know how it happened but the Exam toggle had been switched off. Switch it back on under Tools | Performance | Options.
  10. We have recently started using Edulink One to record attendance at clubs/interventions. Parents can see in the app if their child has attended or not.
  11. The only time I can't see all the aspects is when I have accidentally filtered them, for example to age, comment, grade (instead of showing All). However, this wouldn't happen over and over, so unlikely scenario!
  12. I believe you have to make someone a 'supervisor' of the dynamic group in order to receive the alerts. This can be done in SIMS, in maintain Discover Groups.
  13. I don't know if it's possible but, even if it is, your Profiles comments might be too long to fit into the matching Assessment Manager comment aspects. Perhaps a little test before you spend more time on this?
  14. Any idea of cost of Twilio??
  15. We use Edulink One for loads of things and School Cloud just for online parents' evenings. Does Edulink's online parents' evening functionality work as well/easily as School Cloud? If so, seems daft to pay for both!
  16. Hi all Does anyone know the best setup for general messages in SIMS In Touch? Originally we had it set as send from school | reply to school. This meant that everyone with appropriate access could see everyone else's messages. Then we changed it to send from user | reply to user. Now we only see our own messages but we can't forward anything, which is a problem for some here. Thanks
  17. Thanks! I've been trying to do that for years! As always, easy when you know how
  18. I think those sending out these messages in my school are putting something like "please do not send your Year 8 child into school" as we had similar queries from parents asking which child needed to self-isolate. As for the templates button, if you can't see then perhaps you do not have sufficient access? Someone in your school must be creating templates for different uses?
  19. Thanks Ditto. I know about ADME but it appears a little quiet over there? I used to get huge benefits from being a member of the SSAT DM group. Unfortunately, when our SLT pulled the plug on SSAT I lost touch with that. Since then, I have felt just a little isolated . . . as can be the lot of a school DM? It is good to be able to help and receive help from people who understand the problems and, if there's the occasional LOL moment, even better!
  20. Posting so that I can join DM group
