Hi All Not sure if its us or something going on that we have missed 3 Schools we support - all of them seperate from Each other dont have any associations or anything they all had M365 Office apps on their machine and really weirdly all 3 schools hve had this message appear when they try to open up Office PRODUCT DEACTIVATED - On 8th November 2025, most features of Excel will be disabled. It started off with 1 schools so we thought maybe they didnt renew their licenses or anything, but then on the same day two schools reported the exact same thing!!! and every one of them had the identical date on it, they all purucase licenses from different suppliers One school upgraded to A3 and that sorted it out straight away the other 2 trying to get them to A3... Is there somethign we have missed out or anyone aware of this?

Yeh we got the Device management license instead.. The problem we have at the moment is that as we are still pending Approval for Education workspace as soon as i create an account on admin console it automatically suspends it, spoke to google they said need a One time SMS verification until Workspace for Education is approved (Taking really long at the moment for approval times) So we may just for now have to create a few generic class logins and get the pupils to use for the time being as a workaround until we get approved then create individual logins not practical doing an SMS verification for every single user for the time being!!!!

Hi everyone, Quick question I’m fairly new to Chromebooks. One of the schools we manage has just gone ahead and purchased 35 Chromebooks, but we weren’t involved in the initial planning. All the devices have now arrived, and we need to get them set up soon. We’ve applied for a Google Workspace for Education account, but their approval times seem to be quite long at the moment, so we have no idea when that will come through. In the meantime, we’ve signed up for a trial subscription and purchased Chrome Education Upgrade (CEU) licenses at roughly £29 per device. Here’s the issue: Whenever I try to create new user accounts in the Google Admin Console, Google automatically suspends them, citing “Suspicious activity.” I have no idea why this is happening, and it means we currently can’t create student logins. For now, our plan is just to get the Chromebooks enrolled and ready. The master admin account is still active can I use this admin account to enrol all the Chromebooks in the meantime? Also, until the Google Workspace for Education account is approved, what’s the best way for pupils to log in to the Chromebooks? The school also uses Microsoft Intune, but as far as I know, pupils can’t log in to Chromebooks using their Microsoft 365 accounts. Is that correct, or is there a workaround? Any pointers or advice would be greatly appreciated!

Hi guys Just installed Server 2025, brand new server looking for hybrid setup Trying to install the Entra Connect Sync tool all i am getting is this error message! TLS 1.2 is Enabled, have tried everyhting Microsoft Suggested and still keep getting this error message when we try to put our GA account details in Tried swithing proxy on and off still nothing working using proxy http://ad.quantum.exa-networks.co.uk : 3128 we using EXA Internet, Able to access Microsoft Office fine both with and without proxy internet and everything works Any ideas or suggestions??? Only thing i can think of is possibly firewall at Exa level............

Hi Does anyone know how to push out a PAC file to Android tablets via intune?? We using Securus / Exa Filtering and Monitoring Solution they have provided us with a URL PAC FILE, but we need to push this out to all Android Devices currently enrolled on intune Cant find anywhere where to add this any one know?

Hi Got a school that uses RM as their ISP but their reporting software they have is poor long winded to setup So we thinking potentially looking at EXA Quantum/+ product Does anyone know if they can both run along side each other? Its all windows workstation at the school and they have proxies in place i.e. proxy1.rmsafetynet.com etc etc. however we looking for a solution that will allow us to monitor what websites pupils have visited and get notification if they have accesed something banned, i know with EXA you can push out a .pac file for this Or does anyone else have any other easy to setup monitoring software? Moving ISP is not an option at the moment..so would consider any 3rd party applications that easy to setup for reporting

Hi guys Quick question Got a school currently sharing a domain with another school, we got them registered a new domain and want to move them over to a new domain, we got the tools already in place to do the migration of mailboxes etc Just to move it from the old domain to another surely its just logging on to old tenancy, remove domain, go to new tenancy, add the domain to the new one and change DNS/MX Records etc and it should just move over Then do the mailbox migrations and using the tool? Is this the correct way of doing it? Or use the tool to move it first then do the domain record changes afterward? My question more of just transferring the domain from one tenancy to another whether its just as straight forward as to what i mentioend above

Hello. Got a bunch of schools we support all just joined a MAT so plan is to get them all on a single domain to move them to a single tenancy We got quite a few tools we got in mind so will be looking to explore these soon however though We have one School which are using RM Unify (That 365 Federated System) Another school which are using Hybrid (OnPrem AD > Sync back to 365) Each school are on its own seperate Domain (both tenancy and Local Active directory) Can anyone see any issues doing the migration with a hybrid setup and RM Unify For now we just want to get them all to the new tenancy and get them to start using the MAT new email address..the school that has a hybrid setup will want to keep it this way (I'm assuming on their AD we will just need to reconfigure the ADSync tool to point to the new server and add a UPN Suffix?) I'm i right in saying as well once we move all the accounts over Email passwords will be changed? or when doing the migration it retains the existing Passwords of the mailboxes? Likewise with 2FA will they all need to be reset again?

There is a bunch of other settings and options avaialble to them them school dont want them to have access to any settings unfotunately looks like from within intune aswell you cant really lock down that many settings

Hi Anyone running Andriod Tablets in Kiosk Mode unable to connect to a different wifi? Got tablets enrolled in intune, we created a policy so it connects to teh schools wifi automatically however pupils are going to be taking them home and for some reason under kiosk mode you can detect the wifi from home but enter password nothing happens at all! We dont want to be giving them access to the settings menu anyone came across this or have a workaround?

Got a school they have purchased Exa Surf Protect, works all fine in school internally as we have just pushed the Certificate out via Group Policy and set the Proxy on Windows devices no issues However the school has purchased Lenovo M10 Android Tablets, all managed via inTune and is looking for some sort of Filtering / Monitoring Solution so when they take it home filtering and monitored is applied when they connect to their homes ISP The school is a hybrid joined school using 365 A3 Licenses Anyone had experience using their Quantum + Product and if it works well? We just want something simple where we can push out an app/policy to the android tablets and from within school and also from home filtering is applied and email / alerting is enabled should pupilabc accesses anything inappropriate! They have all registered their 365 account in intune agaisnt the Tablet they are assigned Just looking for reviews if anyone has used it also considering other solutions if anyone can recommend

Hi guys Just rolling out Android Tablet to a school they are going 1-2-1 route, so each student is given a lenovo tablet and been registered under their 365 account using intune! The school wants to pupils to be able to let pupils create word documents using the app and the default file share location to a Sharepoint/teams website, as teachers want to have access to what they have done the teams site is already setup and the document library structure all set however when they open up word on the tablet the default location is set to their personal onedrive,we want the option for it to be able to browse to the teams/sharepoint site which we have created Anyone know how to get this setup on intune policy or if anyone has a similar setup they done could not find any decent documentation online wondering if smeone has a similar setup perhaps?

Hi guys Quick question 4 Schools (Each school currently on a hybrid 365 model/ad connect to 365) each has a seperate domain onprem and seperate school email adress. All 4 of them have now federated and are looking to register a new 365 tenancy so emails across all schools are the same do you know if it possible for 4 different onprem domain and different 365 tenanc to sync back to a single new tenancy? or would we have to break each network and redo everything to sync back to the new centralised domain and join each school to a brand new domain?

Hi Guys One of our schools recently purchased Lightspeed Monitoring Software for alerts, they are also subscribed to RM Safetynet which does a similar thing, they also have various proxy setup using RM proxy i.e. proxy.swgfl.org.uk proxy1 etc etc with different filtering levels so if anyone accesses blocked site the RM Blocke Spalash page shows up on the browser does anyone know if Lightspeed Monitoring and RM proxy work side by side? i.e. can use RM proxy for filtering but lightspeed still sends out the alerts They have just purchased the monitoring tool from Lightspeed and with RM they have safetynet havent managed to get it working fully yet the lightspeed speaking to support about this...but i would hve thought that if RM are doing the filtering and blocking access it would interfere with Lightspeed alert Anyone has a similar setup?

Hi Guys Anyone with RM here finding that their support response times are getting worse as time goes by! Calls that are being logged are not being actioned for atleast a week, hard to get anyone on the phone as well and they also take ages responding to emails I know they moved to a new helpdesk system a while back but this itself is broken. the old helpdesk system they had we just logged on to a single tenancy and we were able to login a call on behalf of all the schools we support, with this new system not possible. Anyone else noticed this? They seem to be getting worse unfortuantely Service itself is great their internet monitoring and general service but the problem we have is their support department is getting really bad

Thanks! Just found out the school has a primaryschool.co.uk domain name registered for their website but their main emails they use is .sch.uk one! So we may apply for a 365 educational tenancy using that co.uk by creating some email addresses on that domain then shift everything aftwards Bit long winded though if only there was another easier solution!

Yup we got the tools and everything in place we planning to use QUEST Migration too The Main issue we have at the moment is applying/registering for an Educational new tenancy account for the school so when it comes to migration we can just move it over there, We unable to register a tenancy under [email protected] as it already co-exists, using a outlook/hotmail account wont work either and they school dont have any alternative domain we can use to register Just spoke to microsoft and the guy tells me "Just buy / register a new domain" for the purpose of creating a new tenancy then can shift everything afterwards

Hi Guys Quick Question We have one single Office365 Tenancy it has schoo1 and school2 We want to move School1 from this tenancy and create them a brand new tenancy and move all their accounts to there (WE got the tools to do this) however First stage is registering an 365 tenancy under school1.sch.uk We tried registering on M365 doesnt allow us to create an email account under [email protected] domain keeps complaining it already exist Tried using an outlook as a temp email and doesnt work either doesnt allow you to do so Anyone have any suggestions how to register a brand new tenancy? or done anything like this before

Hey Wonder if anyone has any ideas about this Small Primary School They got 5 Access Points (Unifi) in total + Unifi Switch running Server 2019 with DHCP Server, all devices at the moment getting IP via Windows Server DHCP School wants the following SSID Setup 10.1.1.31-150 - Teacher SSID 10.1.1,151 -239 - Pupil SSID They just have a single IP range at the moment 10.1.1.1-254 and have a single switch that connects to the main router and all the APs feed of this main unifi switch This is because they want filtering on iPads at different levels, Schools Broadband is the ISP so will ask them if they can apply IP based Filtering depending on what IP they have assigned So idea is that if a teacher connects to teachers SSID they will get the IP range between 10.1.1.31-150 and so forth, pupils will connect to pupils SSID etc. We got access to Unifi Controller i suspect have to setup Vlans etc! Anyone has similar setup to this or have a better way of doing it?
