Recommend me a Fibre patch lead please.

I'm replacing some older Allied Telesis switches in the summer and have spec'd up the new Aruba switches and SFP modules but I'm seeing a great disparity in prices of fibre patch leads...anything from £10 - £50.

 

Can anyone recommend me a 1m LC/LC OM3 fibre patch lead that is good quality without the expense of the HP branded ones?

I'm using some supplied by Millgate and they're OK... They work as intended. I think they were about £12 inc vat.

 

It's worth seeing if your kit will accept a compatible direct attach (SFP combi cable) as these offer significant cost savings of sf - cable - sfp solutions.

I would not expect to pay any more than £10 each for a fibre patch

I have just been quoted £6.30 for 2m 50/125 om3 (may have been om4 actually)

I always use www.videk.co.uk for my fibre patch cables.

 

The 1m leads are - £5.45 for Aqua and £9.25 for Orange (although I can't understand why colour difference would change the price lol)

If it helps, I recommend this LC/LC OM3 fibre patch cable because I have used their cables for many years and they have reliable high quality.

I used to purchase them from my main suppliers, but now i use cpc.co.uk whenever order anything from then Varied lengths from 1m to 3m and never had any issues.
