Netwacky87 Posted February 4, 2013 Posted February 4, 2013 Hi All, Just a bit of a "put it out there" question. I want to be able to have a hosted exchange mailbox for my personal use, I have it at moment wih a custom domain with outlook.com and it works well, but I really love the interface of OWA (Yup, sad I know!) and its just down to personal preference I suppose. I've got a trial of Office365 and thats £3.90/month (excl VAT) for exchange, web apps, sharepoint and something else...I forget. Ive very briefly looked around the web and that seems like the best offer ive seen so far, can anybody recommened a reliable host? Cheers, Mart
glennda Posted February 4, 2013 Posted February 4, 2013 I use Message Stream via @EduTech something like 3.25 but I only have a mailbox and non of the add-ons. 1
Netwacky87 Posted February 4, 2013 Author Posted February 4, 2013 I dont really need the addons but to get some of the nice features like web apps, you need the 3.90 plan. Im not going to use sharepoint
Arthur Posted February 4, 2013 Posted February 4, 2013 RackSpace is a popular choice for hosted Exchange. They charge £6.75 per mailbox per month. www.rackspace.co.uk/email-apps/email-hosting/ 1

Im not going to use sharepoint neither did I, and I didn't want to use Office365. I havn't had any problems with it and only once not been able to login and that was during a maintenance window. Soulfish Posted February 6, 2013 Posted February 6, 2013 Yup I use Microsoft Exchange Online. On Plan 2 purely so I can have a massive exchange mailbox and never worry
Arthur Posted February 7, 2013 Posted February 7, 2013 (edited) On Plan 2 purely so I can have a massive exchange mailbox and never worry Does that mean you don't get a 25GB mailbox with Plan 1? The website lists both plans as having 25GB? Also, it is possible to get the new Outlook.com UI in Exchange Online yet? Edited February 7, 2013 by Arthur
Netwacky87 Posted February 7, 2013 Author Posted February 7, 2013 I dont like the outlook.com UI, I much prefer the OWA one, its a bit more slicker imo
jamesbmarshall Posted February 7, 2013 Posted February 7, 2013 Does that mean you don't get a 25GB mailbox with Plan 1? The website lists both plans as having 25GB? Plan 1 and Plan 2 both get 25GB mailboxes. Unless you need an unlimited personal archive, or advanced eDiscovery features, P1 is fine.
