The funniest thing is that I bet nothing on that CD is of any use on a modern smartphone...the whole thing looks like it's from an early 2000s timewarp

 

Also lol @ your friends wont believe their eyes when you show them 'TV quality' 'AVI clips' being played in widescreen!!!

 

Tbh although he is a scammer, if anyone is so thick they cannot even read the description before bidding on something like a phone, they kind of deserve it. The kind of auctions where they are made to look real but in tiny text say' you are bidding on a box' I do sympathise with buyers but not this one.

They never really do, unless the actual buyer reports the seller for not receiving the goods, or receiving the wrong goods. :(

 

I guess check his account in a week and see if the winner has left positive feedback...

Generally I would agree with you, but for those looking at getting their first "smartphone" might find it confusing and having placed this add in the phone section and also advertising phone specs you could be forgiven for thinking you were getting a phone with all the stuff advertised on. While I always tell people to read things twice before buying online, people like this don't help really.

 

My nephew bought an IPhone off ebay last year, and it turned out it was jailbroken and then he bricked it. The only reason he found out was that he took it into a shop to fix it and then told him why it had happened. He was lucky as he managed to get his money back from the seller, but as he didn't really understand all the terms I can see it was quite easy to get something you weren't expecting. He bought it with both my dad and sister looking at the phone, but none of them understood enough to know exactly what they were getting.

Because Ebay would get a reputation as a scam site and nobody would buy anything from there anymore.

 

The Ebay bosses need to think things through properly...

As a legit seller on eBay, I resent that remark! ;)

 

I too am a legit seller on eBay, not so much now but I used to turn over about 500 items a month. It is far too easy to pull as fast one on there though and buyers and being very careful now as they know they wont always get the backing they expect from PayPal and or eBay.
