What MFDs do people use?

while i can not speak for the machines build or print quality its important to know that not all embedded platforms are equal in features / looks / usability. If you are looking to use something like PaperCut MF be sure to check out the videos on youtube or better yet visit a showroom.

We have three Konica Minolta Bizhub C451 MFDs, leased from Konica. They are not very reliable. In fact they go through phases where we have an engineer out once a week to fix something.

We too are looking at alternatives and have had a demo of a RISO comcolour 7050 which is impressive in the speed department - even on double-sided printing. The printed output is very good although you can tell its an inkjet, not laser, but for everyay usage it is fine.

We have Kyocera. Seem to have lots of niggles and it might just be because my senses are attuned, but I think they get more than their fair share of posts on here, judging by the poll results. Only 2 more years to go....

Just wondering if anyone has Ineo or Olivetti copiers and what do they think of them? (gonna be using PCut too)

Neither of them brands come up as been supported on my PaperCut list.

We use Olivetti copiers from Elmdale maintenance they are fab. Works with paper cut great, think they come under Konica Minolta devices in paper cut.

Konica Minolta for us in school running pCounter Embedded with accounting taken care of with pCounter. Mobile printing is dealt with using Everyone Print which works alongside pCounter.

 

We did have 9 MFDs across the school but have now got around 5 due to a cost cutting exercise. Last year we moved over to an LEA contract. This was financially better as the LEA negotiated an economies of scale deal with the company. Printing and rental costs are stupidly low now.

 

Everything works and we are happy with the solution we have in place.

Papercut MF with Toshiba MFDs and Kyocera Desktop Printers.

The same as Timbo343 - Papercut MF with Toshiba e-Studios and the odd Kyocera Desktop Printer. Had a few hardware issues at 1st with the MFD's but our Managed Print provider had them fixed within a few days
