People here will have IT rooms which are used across the board - not dedicated to just IT lessons - and I'm wondering if anyone would be willing to share any pictures? I'm looking to get some ideas and it'd be great to see how others are maximising the use of limited space.

We've just done similar with one of our rooms, although primarily a computer room space was an issue. Monitors are on the desk but the machines are underneath behind kickboards (plenty of ventilation - they're core i5's) with a £7 desk mount USB hub with speaker/mic passthroughs and card reader that fits into those desk holes. Wake on lan, although as that's not always reliable we'll probably put PS2 keyboards in so those can wake them up.

Forgot to mention about that its a shame with the chewing gum from the pesky kids -.-

How much did the fancy desks cost? So simple and i like it :)

their quite expensive, but the only real problem you get with them is the keyboard and mice cables can become trapped and cut, and the tables are REALLY heavy...

We got them from Abbey (Abbey Business Equipment) give them a ring and they can let you know as I cant remember

we got our dt technician to build them for a couple of quid each..

and ours are slimline cases so that bracket they would move a rather lot. our pervious built ones are snug in them so the students are unable to move them or knock them out ect...
