Yes well done indeed. Top respect to Alonso as well. Well done also to Button for winning the actual race. Also what an achievement and recovery from Filipe Massa after his horrific Hungarian crash; a sound well done to him as well. Edited by speckytecky

What a cracking season. It could have been so different if McLaren pulled through for Lewis, but F1 is often a game of luck as well as pure pace and/or talent. Lewis finishes the season as the quickest and the best qualifier by far.

Vettel finishes with the WDC albeit slightly luckily that he didn't get penalised for illegaly overtaking under yellow flags (too late to change that now!). He does deserve it though really with that fight from the back.

Alonso had my backing for the WDC as a solid talent that's dragged a slow Ferrari around the world consistently all year although did show the pressure in the last few races.

Raikkonen is the first driver in history to complete every single lap in a season. Jenson again showing how solid he is in mixed conditions. And a doffed cap to Michael Schumacher for his entertainment this year.

Also a good mention for Massa who's had a cracking last half of the season!

Yes Kimi's detour was on the bbc it was great as he lookes like he thought he knew he could get back on the track until he had to spin round.

Lots of people saying this, but it's been confirmed that the flags were "slippery surface" flags, NOT "yellow flags". Anyway - good race!

I don't think I've ever known 40 laps so tense and changeable as the start of yesterday's race. Quietened down a bit at the end as everyone eased off in the rain but the start, the overtaking, the sudden tyre changes (particularly Vettel's two-in-two-laps changes), the battles at the front, middle and rear... been a superb end this year.

Just gutted for Hamilton, knocked out from the front again :ohwell:

Was confirmed last night it was yellow flags - a few people including the likes of david croft were saying it was "waved" red and yellow which it wasn't.

The reality is Seb was just entering a yellow flagged area (indicated on his dashboard as seen on the onboard cams) as he took Cowboy. Slightly too inconvenient for the maFIA to do much about it ;)
