localzuk Posted November 22, 2012 Posted November 22, 2012 We have a classroom in the school with limited wall mounting space, and no possibility of mounting on the ceiling as its about 20ft high, but we need to get a set of speakers that will fit. The space is 13cm tall. Anyone know of any speakers that would be suitable? The classroom isn't very big - about 4.5m square.

NuVo 40W In-Wall Amplifier & 2x Wall Speakers NVWA40W , NV-WA40UK - Primary ICT for Primary Schools, Nursery, Secondary & Education ^^^ Ignore the supplier (I have no knowledge of them... they had the nicest picture I could find). I used to use these speakers everywhere and most suppliers can get them via Steljes.

Nope, not allowed to screw things into the ceiling.

chazzy2501 Posted November 22, 2012 Posted November 22, 2012 (edited) SPEAKERS, 30W WITH REMOTE VOLUME - 1050001 - SAHARA These are 172mm tall but have brackets and a remote as I'd half written this post before realizing my mistake, I'm still posting it! BTW these are great speakers for £40 and can be heard through a noisy classroom. The speech quality is great (esp for ropey old vhs english videos) Edited November 22, 2012 by chazzy2501

There is more space, but I'm not allowed to use it it has been decreed it would be ugly to use it... Or put blocks of wood on the wall to bring the speakers forward, clear of obstructions? I'll have a look at more - the problem with that second one is that it only has optical and coax digital inputs, no analogue.
3s-gtech Posted November 22, 2012 Posted November 22, 2012 Creative T20 - very slim but fantastic sound output for the size. Work well in our large Science labs. We mount them flat on wall brackets, so they're only about 80mm tall.
