Hi,

I would like to see support for webdav is possible. This will solve the problem of using silverlight plugin and make it a bit easier for users to open files and save them. The idea of checking out editing and then uploading file back again might be too much for some.

Thanks,

Ash.

The silverlight plugin no longer exists as of v8.0. It's all HTML based. You can use WEBDAV, but HAP+ doesn't interface with it and requires the webdav module be disabled for the hap application in IIS7+.

The HTML interface warns users that they need to save the file locally and then upload it back

Hi,

Thanks for comming back on this. Would it be possible to add the support for webdav?

Thanks,

Ash.

Not really since Webdav is an IIS technology, not an ASP.net/HTML one. You just install it from add/remove programs, and just create a tile on the HAP+ home screen to point to that webdav folder

Hi Nick,

Yes i was thinking along the same lines, except i was wondering if we could some how point the user's my document to the webdav. i.e. have the link to webdave for their my docs. Can i ask how you are getting the user's my document location reference in the code after they login to the main site.

Thanks,

Ash.

Hi Nick, was thinking maybe there could be a report function for the helpdesk. How many tickets in a week, tickets closed, average open time you know stuff like that. Not sure if it's already there and I missed it or someone has already requested it.

Cheers.

Thats perfect thank you, just a little something so the boss can see we really are working and not playing around up here.

As always fast and efficient service Nick.

Following on from your 8.3 release, how about an integrated avatar generator for the kids? Something like Doppelme which includes an API and https serving of avatars.. I'm not sure if storing 1000+ avatars in the active directory is a good idea or not - but it certainly might be a minor little attractor for the kids to get on and customise their HAP experience!

I have no idea if there are better services out there, but i found this one after about 10 minutes..

DoppelMe - Webmasters for info on their API

Clearly not really an important suggetion, but i think it might be effective for allowing the kids a little bit of play time.. perhaps they have to log-on on 10 different days before they are allowed to change it :D

Just an FYI but based on your change log of "Added: Code to hopefully, finally, fix the AD Browser not working some times" still doesn't work for me. :(

Ok, thats for the info, I think there's something with some AD's that prevents the tree from being populated. Have you locked your AD down at all? Have you disabled unencrypted LDAP queries?

will have a look tomorrow, I remember doing something with AD security to give helpers specific access quite a while back, so maybe I locked something out when doing that.
