Port Appliance Tester

Few years back I had a training on Portable Appliance Testing and I was certified to do the PAT Testing. We are thinking about buying a tester. I am not sure what brand and model to buy. If anybody has idea about PAT testing equipment please let me know.

I had some training on Tuesday and we used a Kewtech KT71. Good bits of kit.

The trainer also told us these were the cheapest people but i haven't checked otherwise.

Metrel alpha pat without doubt. easiest to use thing in the world!

This is what we went for: Fluke 6200 PAT Tester Kit 1

 

The tester is easy to work but I have to admit that the software isn't the easiest to get to grips with. There might be a better version now though?

I totally agree.

I've found that we have saved time using Metrel Alpha equipment generally. Previously we used a number of different brands - including various from Fluke. But in my opinion, if its simplicity you are looking for, then go with the Metrel Alpha PAT...although we did get a good deal through them which helped

You may need to (should) get re-certified though.

I have a Seaward Europa Plus PAT Tester - Europa Plus PAT Tester - PAT Testing - Seaward and its a very simple bit of kit to use, just never have the time to do it!
