I have been tasked with selecting an Interactive Whiteboard solution, but there is the catch.

Its for a Pre-School Nursery (Under 5's)

Needs to be Height Adjustable (obviously) as a result Ultra Short Throw.

Mobile? (possibly but not essential)

If wall mounted (adjustable up/down) it would have to have a floor/wall mount as the candidate wall is a stud partition

I'm looking at around 60"

I'm already considering the Clever LCD solution anyway, so any one with Pre-School or KS1 experience who can offer some sensible recommendations regarding the more conventional whiteboard/all in one I would appreciate your input as my own experience with AV solutions such as this extends only to brick throwing teenagers and footballers.

Effectively it needs to be usable by a 5 year old without the teacher suffering 3rd degree facial projector burns every day!

TIA

Surely an interactive LCD is a better bet than an interactive whiteboard? Much better display technology, easy for the children to use and no chance of an adult banging their head on the projector when at a low height! For nursery school children I would have thought a 55" LCD solution would be sufficient, unless the room is particularly big. Loxit supply a very good wall lift that can take the weight to the floor on a stud wall.

Depending on how tough you want it clever touch Whiteboard are not expencive and you could use a sahara lift mount and it will fit to a stud wall as it has legs to take the weight, then i would use a hitachi 220 projector for above board mounting.

or if you have the cash, a unicol one... Powalift Trolley

I know the picture just shows an LCD, but you get one with a projector stand build in, and it will take up to an 80" smartboard

PS, I'm with marc on the hitachi 220.
