If you buy the projector from steljes - they only recomment the TK-Team Boards. These are tried and tested by steljes themselves
-
LG have hotels TV's - you can lock the buttons on these and reduce the functions if required. You can also set a volume limit on them too!

The benQ Screens come with the smart software as standard. most other brands come with their own software

how about an eBeam Edge? Portable and Quite cheap This product turns any flat surface into interactive Luidia / eBeam
-
Are you sure it wasn’t a 40wi that you had a trial of? The 60wi will be released in spring 2013. Also if you have the SMART interactive projector the software and licence is included. Unfortunately Epson won’t allow extended desktop use either
-
This will be at BETT 2013 - the one last year was the 40wi, that used once pen only. the 60wi uses pen or finger + Dual touch (one of each or two fingers/ two pens)

The new Smart Notebook 11 has an update which puts a watermark on all non-smart interactive products. To use any version of notebook on a non-smart interactive device the user must purchase a Collaborative License from smart direct or a reseller. If you continue to use the software on non-smart interactive products you are in breach of the user license agreement. A Smart notebook site license is limited to using smart notebook on smart products and no other 3rd party product. If you really need to use notebook - use this: http://express.smarttech.com It’s not ideal but it’s the only legal way to use notebook on a non-smart product without paying £500+ for a license per board

Just found this video - For the smart Lightraise 60wi http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oQplJav--0E it’s the first integrated dual touch interactive projector which you can use your finger or pen

Our School Website - Opinions/constructive criticism
NDW replied to bazgee's topic in Web Development
Been a nit-picker but how about having links open in a new window rather than directing away from the school website? "Website Designed and Maintained by Barry Graham" on the front page looks out of keeping with the site. "Please allow a few minutes for the forum to load" IMO is in the wrong place could be moved down into the white space and change the colour of the text to match in with the rest of the site - whilst still attracting attention Apart from that it’s a really nice looking site, I love the grey / maroon colour -
Ok... so I’ve just been quoted for a new sony projector, VPL-EX225 (PDF Linked) it has loads of connectivity and has a lamp life of 7000h Also +1 for the Casio projectors if you can afford them - they really are the bees knees

[closed] misc: Fonts on Edugeek pages look 'blocky' and indistinct...
NDW replied to CESIL's topic in EduGeek.net Site Problems
Looks fine to me... I use IE, Firefox and chrome. Could try changing your screen resolution or try zooming in or out on web page... If all that fails - try Specsavers? -
Making a Projector Interactive (retroactively)
NDW replied to sonofsanta's topic in AV and Multimedia Related
How about using ebeam software its interactive and now you can log onto it via a tablet and control it from there - although you wont be able to controll the projected image you can still control what is going on in the ebeam software.. failing that a smart or promethean slate would do the job.- 12 replies

Well I wouldn’t put some Chinese monkey metal part in my car only to fail and cause more damage. i have bought non original products before for a range of items: the car, projectors, computers and the push bike... but I would never buy anything that I couldn’t guarantee the quality of it. It is a personal opinion... That’s all

"Compatible Lamp with Compatible Housing" Non genuine lamp, its up to you if you want to void the warranty on your projectors. a quick check online shows they have only been trading under that business name since last November >See Here< so I would definitely be dubious about buying from then anyway

Looking for information from any Promethean Resellsers
NDW replied to tb2571989's topic in Licensing Questions
im sure it works on the quantuty you buy: 1 to 4 lisences are x ammount each, 6 to 10 are x ammount each and so on. each licesnce has a teacher and 32 student licesnses.. thats my take on it anyway. to be fair, the smart equivalelant is better, you can have as many student licesnses and pay for 1 teacher. at least you dont have to give the licence code out to 32 kids X40 or however many classes you have
