Helloooooooo,

I think I've asked this before but i wanted to see if things have changed. As you know, i like doing raffles etc so i wanted to see what you guys would like the prizes to be.

Come up with your top 3 ideas (realistic ones are a bonus :))

I want to announce a new raffle tomorrow so your ideas would help me out a lot. Plus you might win something that you want.

Thanks

Ipod touch(For day to day tasks note taking etc), Good quality high capacity USB key, and for runner up prizes a really good high quality keyring thats funky but versatile for the technician in mind.

Anyone that works in a public sector School cannot personally accept gifts so they have to be something that would be of use to the school.

Things like Digital camera's or money off a next order would be good, although a lot of the time actual hardware prizes can be a bit annoying - we get them from other companies sometimes, and end up with single items of differnt bits of kit, when normally we'd try and buy most kit in batches and standardise across the school. Maybe a prize selection that the winnder could choose from would be best?

Any prize sent, as always, is for the school. It gets sent to the school and it's for school use. I've got clients that use iPads, iPods etc to do their day to day work.

I just want to know what would make your lives easier and more fun! Any ideas are welcome :)

A free extra member of staff for a year? :-)

As @steveg says, it would have to be something for the school not something for the individual. Packs of USB Sticks are an easy prize to give out, I know we mysteriously get through them very quickly here, and other components that tend to go wrong would be handy - pack of HDDs maybe, or some packs of RAM to plug into work PCs (that way it's for the school but still for the individual... and given that 8Gb is £30 these days, cheap for you too :D), keyboards, mice etc.

I still like netbooks to use as Portable Active Directory Consoles, take with me to a classroom so I can change passwords/check details etc. easily... tablets would be good to play with as well I suppose, and could be a good trojan horse for you - "here's an iPad 2 to trial with your staff, if they like it, order a batch from us and we'll give you an extra 10% off"

And you should then send me a chocolate pizza for all these excellent marketing ideas I'm giving you ;)

BTW - what question did you end up asking for the last raffle so as it wasn't a lottery? Just out of interest!

Wireless presenters are useful we dont always have.

A decent Keyboard and mouse can still be useful and a bonus for working in ICT

Ha, dont think i could afford that but maybe some engineers for a day for you to do ???

Engineers for us to do?! What?! Suddenly the raffle sounds interesting.

I like the idea of RAM - would love some as I just can't afford it at present. A nice tablet (NOT an ipad!! - cheaper for you, too!) would be lovely but the boss would use it so I wouldnt get the benefit. A netbook or some good quality memory sticks. Toner for printers is an idea too.

Otherwise, food...chocolate please as I usually get to keep that for myself! (Love the pizzas but giant chocolate buttons are my sin of choice...)

There were loads of questions, i didn't write them down! They were from the pub quiz i go to most Sundays. Some of them were cryptic! You'll be able to get involved in the new promo i'm doing. :)

I was about to say a low end Wi-Fi Only iPad ie the 16gb Wi-Fi Only iPad ( think these are the cheapest out of all of them ). Although as witch stated non iPad tablets are also reasonable like the Asus transformer or the likes ?

A new cluebat would be nice, mines getting a bit worn out.

Anything like screwdrivers, cable testers, cordless drill, all useful stuff that we stand a chance of keeping...
