I am trying to find out a way of tracking which users have logged into their SLG accounts, on the hosted service. I am not sure if it is possible, but if not why not?

It would be useful to see which parents are engaging with the communication service provided by the school.

Any ideas?

I've asked our Hosted solution provider (through the LEA) if it was possible they said no.

I guess if its using your local AD you could probably work out which users havn't logged in for a while (you can do this in advanced search)

Do they give you some sort of access to AD, say, to restart passwords? Anyone who hasn't logged onto to AD should still have they're account with "change password on next logon" ticked.

Can't you track them through Sharepoint? Im not sure whats the best package but Im sure a sharepoint guru here will know.

EDIT: FYI there a basic usage report that comes with sharepoint that can be found in Site Actions>Site Settings>Site Usage Report

The Google Analytics trick mentioned on the Capita forums or (possibly) raising a ticket with the SLG helldesk for metrics. Since hosted is looking at their AD, it'd be trivial for them to run an "accounts that haven't logged on a) every, b) for the last N days"
