... well it would be if the TA's wern't blaring out Barry Manilow from the hall speaker system as they tidy out the PE store! :)

Apart from that - I might re-image the suite :)

I've just gone at the printserver in orderto try and resolve an issue we have with with not being able to restart the spooler. Shame there aren't many staff in to print out. :-(

I'd do the Windows updates on the servers I've not got around to doing in the evenings yet... Except enough staff are in that I'd get a slap if I rebooted stuff :(

Quiet here too. Just had an email from one member of staff requesting that those of us not striking should not send emails to our striking colleagues today so that they don't have a large workload when they come back tomorrow, as it would be unfair to expect them to catch up.

I think I'll be doing a few group policy tweaks today. Sort out this maze of weirdness that I've inherited.

I'm going to spend all day kicking union members off the terminal server.

haha yeah... We have quite a few striking staff on ours.. doesn't that kinda defeat the point in striking?

Doing all the jobs you can't do when you've got the phone ringing all the time and students and teachers under your feet!

If only :( Still got the phone ringing from those that are in!

I thought about it, as it does have some outstanding upgrades that need doing but we've got students who might want to work on it as well :( I could ignore the strikers who would complain about it being down, but not the students as it's not their fault that they can't come in today.

I get to spend the day troubleshooting a problem with the ECDL testing site they use here. Just worked out (after much pain and anguish) that running a join.me session seems to stop the error, which is why the remote support have never been able to replicate it. Bloody marvellous!

Seriously, though, I have reimaged this entire room, with a brand new image, up to date & identical drivers, software and updates across the room, and somehow, SOMEHOW, the same half dozen machines still display the same intermittent and random issue. How is that even possible? Am I being trolled by motherboards here?

Your students have a day off... and are still working?!

No :p Not a single logon... But knowing my luck I'd have half the school trying to connect if I did take it down and angry letters from parents :p

Glad to see some have the easy day, most of our staff are in only about 10 are not and with a 200 staff site thats impressive.

Staff are already on the case of "I have an easy day what can i complain about", luckily enough I am a multi tasker - sorting out a laptop, frog work and our external site have realised their software isnt working.

Sun is out, birds are chirping, traffic is non-existant, loving it. Even though the phones and water momentarily joined Unison.

Not a single print credit request either so far. Can we get Unison to do this more often? ;)
