Hi

Those with tablets that are not iPads (as I have their tags already ;) ) could you please go to:

Whats My User Agent?

And paste your user agent in to a reply here along with your model.

Need to accurately detect tablets for something I am working on.

Cheers

Isn't this going to be really difficult considering there are hundreds/thousands of different makes and models of tablets? Also, the user agent for Dos_Box's RM Slate is the same as a standard Windows PC.

Yep to a point as it has been a free for all with cheap tablets that didnt follow googles recommendation about user agents. I just want to see a spread to cover at least and yes Windows 7 does not have a simple way yet but I will be testing.

Up to you whether you consider this a tablet or not; it's from my Dell Streak 5, which Dell marketed as a tablet, albeit a pretty small one. Certainly the screen is big enough to use the non-mobile version of websites (which causes me no end of annoyance since some sites, such as the BBC, always serve up their rubbish mobile site by default and don't let me specify a preference).

Mozilla/5.0 (Linux; U; Android 2.2.2; en-gb; Dell Streak Build/FRG83G) AppleWebKit/533.1 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0 Mobile Safari/533.1

Wow thats a screwy user agent, it reads that your running OS X lol.

@AngryTechnician thats the type of problematic user agent, the streak does not identify based on googles recommendations.
