Achandler Posted October 12, 2011 Posted October 12, 2011 So as the thread title says "What is this?" Any ideas would be great. The pictures show an item that is, about 9cam long and 5.5cm wide and 4mm high. The item looks like it would fit within a PCMCIA slot but has no connectors for this. It appeared in my pidgeon hole in an anti-static bag with a disposable anti-static wrist strap. It appears to have a small circuit board on oen send, with a small connector, though the majority of it is silver, the silver bit is clearly well sealed and isn't rigid. almost like a gel.
sted Posted October 12, 2011 Posted October 12, 2011 battery from some laptop would be my first guess

Achandler Posted October 12, 2011 Author Posted October 12, 2011 Yeah a battery of some discription is what we established. Though it appeared in my pidgeon whole yesterday and I dont know any member of staff who has anyhting with a raid controller, it isnt an iPad battery we have checked online.

localzuk Posted October 12, 2011 Posted October 12, 2011 Its a battery from a PDA. I replaced one in a HP PDA a couple of years ago and it was almost identical to that.
