[ms office - 2007] Powerpoint to DVD (for free!)

Hi,

 

Ive been told that its possible to burn a powerpoint to dvd and google didnt give me many answers other then 2 software titles that claimed to do this.

 

I was wondering if anyone has managed to do this and most importantly for free:rolleyes:

Hmmmmmmm, not entirely sure on this one!

 

Most obvious way is through screencapture, something like fraps. Set the Powerpoint presentation to roll, start fraps, then record the lot. Tidy it up a little in Movie Maker or similar.

Use Community Clips to capture the slideshow and audio commentary to WMV and burn with favourite autouring tool.

do you mean on a dvd as a video file, or packaging it to a dvd so it will run anywhere?

any way, as long as it plays on a dvd player connected to a tv.

what version of office have you got? You can do it in 2010 when you save and send, there is an option to create a video

If you are using Windows 7 you could do it for free.

 

Save the powerpoint as a Jpeg. It saves each slide as a separate file into a folder.

 

Then use DVD Maker which is included with W7 ie C:\program files\DVD Maker\DVDMaker.exe and add the pictures to create the DVD

That would of been my way round it, but this powerpoint contains both transition effects and found

Still going with Fraps here, as it does sound too.

How about this scenario, free screen capture software saved as an AVI as you run the powerpoint then convert the AVI to DVD with free software

 

A little time consuming but worth it

Why not use a PowerPoint to DVD converter like Moyea PPT to DVD Burner or Leawo PowerPoint to DVD directly?
