oalcock Posted August 9, 2011 Posted August 9, 2011 (edited) Hello ****, Just a quick question for you, what time is the latest time I can collect my parcel from the sorting office? This is the second time now that my missed delivery slip has been dropped through my letter box in such bad condition that I can hardly read anything on it, and there is no way I can see on the slip what type of parcel it is, or your opening hours. This time it came through my letter box looking like one of your delivery people were hungry! Have a look at the attached. Thanks Oliver Edited August 9, 2011 by oalcock

localzuk Posted August 10, 2011 Posted August 10, 2011 Not too bad. I used to enjoy the City Link cards when I lived in Lancaster, I actually saw them drive past my place and throw a card from the window at my path once. Sadly didn't have my camera handy though
MK-2 Posted August 10, 2011 Posted August 10, 2011 think i can top that (slightly). the wife ordered something a week ago. got home to find a card saying tried to deliver, have thrown parcel over the back gate. well thats fine, but the back gate doesn't back straight onto the back garden, it has a roof over it and the outhouse, so what they had done is throw the parcel onto a flat roof meaning i had to get up on a ladder, and use a broom to drag the parcel near me to reach. tried calling the courier number but it was just a recorded message saying "if you haven't received your parcel, contact the person you ordered it from"
featured_spectre Posted August 10, 2011 Posted August 10, 2011 City link are by far the worst, I was in and the guy put the card through without trying, I stopped him before he drove off, only for him to tell me his van is empty and he is dropping off the cards. City link make more money on a second run as they can charge in most instances.

I've read a number of people say that happened to them.
MK-2 Posted August 10, 2011 Posted August 10, 2011 Lol, that's almost as good as people having parcels delivered in their bins on collection day. I've read a number of people say that happened to them. best thing is, out of boredom, i just went on their site, filled out a complaint and sent it and got this reply: We apologise, but are unable to deal directly with you regarding your parcel enquiry. Please contact the company with whom you placed your order. Thank you. It'd be more honest if they just replied with "Get f***ed, we just don't care" This is Hermes couriers by the way, which reading up have very bad reviews.
NikChillin Posted August 10, 2011 Posted August 10, 2011 I am still waiting for a delivery from City link, they finally answered the phone after 3 days of ringing to say that three slips had been put through the letterbox, you know, those invisible ones! They said my village name was missing on the address, they had the correct house number and road including town and postcode. HAVEN'T THEY HEARD OF *&%&ING SAT NAV!!!!!
