enjay Posted July 7, 2011 Posted July 7, 2011 Speed test on our new Internet connection - rather shiny, I think...
glennda Posted July 7, 2011 Posted July 7, 2011 i've currently got 8.5mb down and 4 up (max is 10) which is normally shared between 800 clients
localzuk Posted July 7, 2011 Posted July 7, 2011 http://www.speedtest.net/result/1374910071.png 100Mbit fibre here. Never get a very good up speed to be honest!
sonofsanta Posted July 7, 2011 Posted July 7, 2011 When our new fibre got put in (20mb connection on a 100mb bearer) I was getting test speeds of 60mb/20mb, which was pretty impressive! I love that the 20mb package is a minimum connection speed for us
glennda Posted July 7, 2011 Posted July 7, 2011 we are on fiber its just capped down to 10mb! Capita are taking over our LEA's WAN from Redstone and we might possibly be getting 100Mb connection!
jedmondson Posted July 7, 2011 Posted July 7, 2011 http://www.speedtest.net/result/1375140956.png is the one at home.
mac_shinobi Posted July 7, 2011 Posted July 7, 2011 http://www.speedtest.net/result/1375140956.png is the one at home. Think I only get about 49mbps down and 5 up, how did you manage to squeeze the extra 5mbps down ?
linkazoid Posted July 7, 2011 Posted July 7, 2011 This is from behind our smoothwall. http://www.speedtest.net/result/1375146023.png Its alot faster infront of the smoothwall box.
enjay Posted July 7, 2011 Author Posted July 7, 2011 @linkazoid - how is your upload faster than your download?!
pete Posted July 7, 2011 Posted July 7, 2011 @linkazoid - how is your upload faster than your download?! I'm guessing SW knows it just scanned that file (based on hash) so it won't try to re-scan it until $certain_time_later. Download > Scan File > present to user Upload > Just scanned that, no need to scan > present to internet
jedmondson Posted July 7, 2011 Posted July 7, 2011 Think I only get about 49mbps down and 5 up, how did you manage to squeeze the extra 5mbps down ? No idea.
andyrite Posted July 7, 2011 Posted July 7, 2011 http://www.speedtest.net/result/1375187879.png Janet Connection here.
john Posted July 7, 2011 Posted July 7, 2011 http://www.speedtest.net/result/1375187879.png Janet Connection here. MMMMM JA.Net I can only dream of such speeds
GrumbleDook Posted July 7, 2011 Posted July 7, 2011 Depending on the time of day in the office I get 90-95+, 80+ and 15-50ms Worst I had was during Wimbledon and World Cup last year ... and it was interesting to watch the council badwidth graph on cacti ... maxed out solid each afternoon!
