bodminman Posted July 1, 2011 Posted July 1, 2011 God I hate the Daily Mail. The worst thing is that my father in law thinks everything in it is true!!!
featured_spectre Posted July 1, 2011 Posted July 1, 2011 You do know the average daily mail headline is "Asylum seekers carry a new type of aids which increases taxes and crime rates"
beeswax Posted July 1, 2011 Posted July 1, 2011 Years ago I used to have a shop steward who read the Daily Mail and when I questioned him about it he said, "Always know what the enemy is thinking"
tommej Posted July 1, 2011 Posted July 1, 2011 Just saw Charlie Brooker stick this on twitter. Feel ashamed to walk the same earth as these idiots. The mirror and telegraph are also running similar headlines!
CESIL Posted July 1, 2011 Posted July 1, 2011 I heard a comedian say a while back "What's the best way to confuse a daily Mail reader?" "Tell them that asylum seekers are the natural predator of paedophiles"
glennda Posted July 1, 2011 Posted July 1, 2011 was probably about 6pm last night and they didn't mention a student jumping on the top!
MK-2 Posted July 1, 2011 Posted July 1, 2011 Next they'll claim the strikes cause cancer Well of course it does. If the teachers weren't striking they would be teaching kids science, who would then grow up to become scientists who would then find a cure for cancer. You see it's simple when you think about it really!

MK-2 Posted July 1, 2011 Posted July 1, 2011 D'oh!! Of course - how could I not have seen that?? i'll let you off this time. next time i'm petitioning for your deportation......just a warning!
AyatollahPies Posted July 1, 2011 Posted July 1, 2011 It is a disgrace of a headline, but I'm always amused by the amount of folk that hate the Mail, yet seem to read it. ;-)
Jawloms Posted July 1, 2011 Posted July 1, 2011 They've taken the word "because" out of the headline. It now says "Girl, 13, crushed to death by a falling branch as she sat on park bench on the day her teachers went out on strike". How much pressure must they have been under and from where to do that? I don't suppose for a moment they re-read it themselves and thought "a little harsh perhaps"!

Reading the readers comments, it seems that even the most staunch Mail fan thought the headline went too far. I wonder if the poor girls parents or the school can force an apology from them.
