Steven Posted May 23, 2011 Posted May 23, 2011 I currently have an iPhone 4, thinking of selling and moving to Android + I like the HTC Sense, Wanting to go for the HTC Sensation. What do you guys think?
HaleStorm Posted May 23, 2011 Posted May 23, 2011 Do it...its exactly what i plan to do when my contract expires in December...im going for either the HTC Sensation or the Samsung Galaxy S 2 rooted android is much more versatile than jailbroken iOS plus the phone looks prettier
localzuk Posted May 23, 2011 Posted May 23, 2011 Yup, go for it. I hate iPhones. I just have so many issues with them. Android all the way.
Pyroman Posted May 23, 2011 Posted May 23, 2011 same here iphone 3g at the moment and it runs at a snails pace, looking at either the Deisre S the Desire HD or wait for the Sensation but then the sensation will be on a bit of an expensive contract i think, plus i want it with O2 so might have to go for the HD or Desire S, decisions decisions....
Guest Guest Posted May 23, 2011 Posted May 23, 2011 Desire S is just the desire HD but smaller, therefore go for the desire S imo. I have the desire HD fyi
Steven Posted May 23, 2011 Author Posted May 23, 2011 I'm going for the Sensation, Just seen that it runs on 2.3. Will it be getting Honeycomb?
Guest Guest Posted May 23, 2011 Posted May 23, 2011 I'm going for the Sensation, Just seen that it runs on 2.3. Will it be getting Honeycomb? Doubt it, Honeycomb is for tablets
HaleStorm Posted May 23, 2011 Posted May 23, 2011 I'm going for the Sensation, Just seen that it runs on 2.3. Will it be getting Honeycomb? probably not as honeycomb is designed for tablet computers, unless they re-develop it for mobile handset use
aerospacemango Posted May 23, 2011 Posted May 23, 2011 Ok....here's the scoop!!! My brother had an iPhone, and has ALWAYS said that it is the best! Anyway, he got a bit fed up with it, but wouldn't really admit it to anyone....especially me, as I was always banging on about Android!!! So, Bruv decides it's time for a new phone....And after must looking around, he decided to pre-order the new HTC Sensation. It came on Saturday....I was there.....He opened the box.....and fell IN LOVE! We had it out, had a play and he has totally changed his mind. HTC now ROCKS for him. Android is the place to be, for him! The moral of the story is....never keep a closed mind to anything, as you might get surprised. Do your research, and decide what YOU want from the phone. Make your choice, and BE HAPPY!!!
linkazoid Posted May 23, 2011 Posted May 23, 2011 Doubt it, Honeycomb is for tablets Ice Cream Sandwich (update to Honeycomb) will be for phones and tablets so the phone should get the update at some point. During the Google IO the Android Handset Alliance agreed to update phones for 18 months after release to minimise the fragmentation of Android any further.
LosOjos Posted May 23, 2011 Posted May 23, 2011 Another vote for Android here, and HTC do seem to make the best devices overall on the platform. My contract's not up for renewal until next April, at which point I've been saying for months I'm not even going to bother to upgrade because I love my Desire, but now I've seen this:HTC Evo 3D I do think the whole 3D thing is a bit of a gimmick (at least with the current technology, gives me a splitting headache if I try to watch a film or sports in 3D), but the geek in me would truly love to have that 3D camera to hand at all times...
CHR1S Posted May 23, 2011 Posted May 23, 2011 Im hanging on for iOS5 before I jump ship. Just in case they pull something special out of the gui bag

ZeroHour Posted May 23, 2011 Posted May 23, 2011 Im hanging on for iOS5 before I jump ship. Just in case they pull something special out of the gui bag One thing that looks likely is itunes spotify, but why have itunes spotify when you could have spotify and NOT have to run itunes. 1
CAM Posted May 23, 2011 Posted May 23, 2011 I use a HTC Wildfire S and it isn't bad, but getting ropey Internet on Orange. And still getting used to the touchscreen, keep mis-pressing it.
MYK-IT Posted May 23, 2011 Posted May 23, 2011 Android all the way! You could even get the older HTC HD2 (around £150 ebay/ £185 new if you look around). Ok, comes with WinMob 6.5, but you can root it and have WinMob 7 or Android 2.3.4 (and you can even dual boot it between the 2 ) I've the ZTE Blade (Orange San Francisco with 2.3.4), and did install Android 3.0 on it a few months back but the screen res was so high you couldn't really use it!
