The problem we have is that we have the exhibitors, who are mainly made up of the companies speaking at the conf had been asked months ago wheather they would like to attend, and the remainder from existing sponsors have the existing 'commercial' slots. Anyone else attending from a private company, and there to represent their coompany would, in essence, be taking up a space that would otherwise be filled by an EduGeek member, and seeing as we (EduGeek) pay for all of the conference attendees we would in fact be paying for a commercial company to attend free of charge with us picking up the bill. That is not to say we cannot get something arranged possibly, it's just we need to ensure all slots are filled by members first.

Easy tbh... i suspect you will be able to share a lift/taxi with someone from the hotel to thte conference and the station to the hotel is under £10 by taxi (bus is even possible!)

Need to find out if I can attend this. Building handover for us is that week so depending on various things happening (power, data, telephones being in place!) I may not be able to come :(

Station to hotel is a 10 min taxi.

I walked Station -> hotel last year (it was a nice day!) but wouldn`t recommend it. I also walked back to the Station as I picked the wrong bus route.

Not sure about the conference venue as it's new this year...

It's a 5 mile walk from the station to the hotel. A bus journey (number 22,23 from outside the Dog and Partridge on Friargate) is 10 mins and costs £1.40 to Black Bull lights, and a 4 min walk from there.

The Dog and Partridge is a few mins walk from the train station.

That banner at the top:

Maybe a bit pedantic, but if the tickets are free, they're not on sale... they're available.

Not sure about the spelling there either!!

Sorry for trying to help, I won't bother next time. Also is it common practice on this forum for a moderator to respond in this way?

I suspect that comment was missing a smiley ;) and not in a "have a pop" way.

Frosty I don't really see any difference bewteen you pointing out a mistake in the original and someone pointing out one in your reply.

Nothing wrong in the reply tbh and Witch is one of the resident spelling/grammar scouts ;)
