I spent all weekend on this to no avail. Does anyone have any ideas please?

After an update today from Ubuntu 10.10 to 11.4 after a reboot the network is only briefly available then goes off. I am able to ping it for about 6 replies then nothing. I am using it as my webserver and the pages load then are not available. Might somebody be able to point me in the right direction with this please? Thanks

I was simply trying to help EG with an obvious error on a banner on the homepage. I even suggested that you delete my comment as I wasn't sure how to contact you re the error I had discovered. How should I have made you aware of the error without sounding like I was taking a swipe? I am sure btw that EG moderators have better things to do than post humiliating comments back? EG has resident Spelling/Grammar scouts? Do posters really want to be corrected or are they looking to get help in the EG community? Anyhow, sorry to the EG community for my original post if any offence was taken it was not intended.

Sorry for trying to help, I won't bother next time. Also is it common practice on this forum for a moderator to respond in this way?

Did they stop development of Fireboard in 2008? Don't they now call it Kunena?

I am finding it awesome - repositories make it so much easier to handle files...I appreciate it maybe a technical selling point but still a valid one. The best selling point is still of course that it is free!

Access It Data: Ad Integration - no. When we first set up the system we exported all staff from SIMS instead in a csv and set up that way. It was easier for us as we have very little staff turnover so we decided to keep it simple and just set up a new staff member\user as tehy come and go. Printers - Ours are HP MFP's and we use Pcounter. Pcounter is AD intigrated and can be used with MFP's etc. Access It is not integrated into print managment (Sorry didn't read thread properly - my bad!) We have our own HID reader in the office to provision cards and of course print our own with our own design dependent on who the end user is; Sixth Former, Staff Member, Contractor etc. Think that was all the queries...happy to answer anymore q's :-)

Not sure if it will help but we use these guys Access It Data Ltd. We have Access Control on Doors, Time Schedules, Visitor Manager, Contractor Manager. We also have our own card printer (Magicard Rio 2e).

Has anyone come accross this before: I have recently had to disaster recover my web services and when re-adding my Mahara and Xibo Databases although all the files are present I get Xibo (37) and Mahara (121) in phpmyadmin but when I enter the database Xibo only has 3 tables present and Mahara none! Are this databases recoverable please?

We use Veriton N260G's and Optiplex GX620's I have to ask. Why do you have your clients running all night? Why not switch off at the end of School and restart in the morning? (just curious)
