El_Nombre Posted May 3, 2011 Posted May 3, 2011 Hi all - title says it all really. Is there any plugin available for SIMS which would allow me to lock a teacher's screen, freeze it, make it fire acid or flames or make life otherwise inconvenient for them if a register wasn't taken at the beginning of the lesson? I think I recall hearing of something like this and I had a google but nothing decent found. Anyone heard of anything like this?
3s-gtech Posted May 3, 2011 Posted May 3, 2011 A pop-up picture of our head threatening to replace their swivel chair with the wonky plastic one with obscene graffitti on the base would be good... Yeah we could do with something like this!
jcollings Posted May 3, 2011 Posted May 3, 2011 A message from our cover manager usually does the trick here!
K.C.Leblanc Posted May 3, 2011 Posted May 3, 2011 When I read this thread title I assumed this was to stop the kids trying find games & music when they were meant to be listening for their names. Surely if the teachers can't be bothered to take registers then it's a management issue.
Michael Posted May 3, 2011 Posted May 3, 2011 I agree with the comment above, it is a management issue and not a technical one. The school SIMS administrator should be able to tell who's done what.
glennda Posted May 3, 2011 Posted May 3, 2011 Sims Learning Gateway did well in seeing teachers suddenly start taking registers and also doing reports on time!

Our SIMS admin can and does tell by email daily, but incase it turns into being my headache I'd like to have an idea up my sleeve sorta thing.
bossman Posted May 3, 2011 Posted May 3, 2011 @El_Nombre: Why would it become your headache as others have stated it is a management problem and should be dealt with in such a manner, if they come to you asking if there is anything you can do your answer is plain and simple...............NO! and that should be the end of it. ;D

timbo343 Posted May 3, 2011 Posted May 3, 2011 I was after something that would kick the user out of sims after x amount of time if there was no activity within SIMS but no one was able to provide an answer.
