Fax to email/email to fax service

Does anyone else use an email to fax/fax to email service, rather than physical fax machines here?

 

I'm looking to modernise our use of faxes, and remove the waste of junk faxes that we get through.

We can now send fax's from our national email system but there are still some departments that insist on having a fax to receive on, we just say no now, too much hassle. If they need one we just get a bog standard phone line installed and run it from that although I believe our new system will allow for them to be integrated in.

1. If you want to manage yourself (time and resources/cost). If so, Fenestrae are good.

2. Use cloud service, much easier. may free trials available.

Funny i am in the same situation. Our fax has just broke and i'm arguing that we use this over buying in a new fax machine. Just working on costings and comparing to current.

Shame you cannot use an existing number with them.

I would quite like something like this - preferably somebody who has made a little box that emails the fax rather then prints it

That's exactly what these do...? Minus it being a little box.

 

Fax is sent to your number > Attached to email > Sent to email address specified

Our photocopiers do this, its just a module and then you can recive to email with no problems, most come with a print to fax driver also.

Is there any cheap ones that will let you keep your current number? If we didn't need to i'd sign up with Soho66 that looks like just what we need. Cheap and simple.

I've found Faxtastic which looks good. £30 a year + faxes to send. £30 to port your number.

Indeed, our Ricoh copiers are capable of it, but I don't really want to use them to do it as it adds yet another function to them when they're already busy machines.

Its worth speaking to SoHo66 anyway, my mate recently had to close down his business premises and move into his garage, SoHo66 ported both of his existing 01277 numbers one to Fax one to a multi trunk SIP so none of his clients even know he has moved!
