01hanstu Posted April 4, 2011 Posted April 4, 2011 Hi, We are using XP Pro and at the minute are having problems with Conficker. I want to be able to view the scheduled taks on computers on the network, and without manually going to Run -> \\stationname\ then opening scheduled is thwere a quicker way or a tool that can get a batch for me? Help would be brilliant, Cheers, - Stu
Steve21 Posted April 4, 2011 Posted April 4, 2011 Can it be local on machines? Like BAT files/startup scrupts etc? If so: dir /b "%SystemRoot%\tasks" > blah.txt And you should be able to just set a shared location for the text file. Any use? Steve
chris_uk Posted April 4, 2011 Posted April 4, 2011 this is a good link to check out, The Microsoft Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool helps remove specific, prevalent malicious software from computers that are running Windows 7, Windows Vista, Windows Server 2003, Windows Server 2008, or Windows XP
zag Posted April 4, 2011 Posted April 4, 2011 A good way of stopping conflicker at source is to make the root of all your shared drives read only. It solved the virus overnight for us as it could not propagate any more.
Michael Posted April 4, 2011 Posted April 4, 2011 The Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool can also be deployed via WSUS if you have many machines to update or you could download it to a share and script it to run silently.
