Can't say as we moved to T-Mobile :(

On their forums there appears to be lots of people with problems but on the few I checked there was no update. Has anyone contacted Vodafone by landline?

Hi tech_guy,

I’m sorry to see you’ve been experiencing network problems recently and I understand how frustrating this can be.

I’ve taken a look for you and there is a fault in Coventry which has been listed here.

Our engineers are working to get this resolved as soon as possible and as soon as there is any news, that page will be updated.

Kind regards,

Hi Jenny,

Very good of you to pop on here and provide help.

I'd like to ask, here in Northamptonshire my mother has recently moved to Vodafone (previously a long serving and loyal o2 customer like the rest of the family....) and in the 3 weeks she's had it it's on several occasions decided it was "limited (ie, emergency only)" service for an hour or so at a time with no real clue as to why.

Is there any kind of known issue that could cause that or should I back out and put her back on o2 with my tail between my legs for recommending giving voda a go?

Happy to discuss in private if this will help.

Grateful for your time.

Kim

I think Jenny follows me! We regularly communicate via Twitter over Vodafone issues! Always get the problem resolved though.

Had issues myself with Vodafone the other day, no calling or texting, and no mention of it on service status sites but lots of mentions on Twitter.

looking at Network - Vodafone eForum

There are more reports of coverage problems from all over the UK in the past 48 hours 30/31st March (compared to the the period 26th - 29th March)

Do Vodafone have a serious service outage that you are not telling us about?

Hi everyone!

Kim, I’m sorry to see your mother’s having network problems in Northamptonshire.

I’m not aware of any faults in this area, but will be more than happy to look into this further for you.

If you’d like to email us via here, we’ll be happy to look into this for you.

(When contacting, please quote the code WRT135 in the subject line. In the main message body, please include a link to this thread and your user name. This will ensure that your message comes directly through to my team).

If it’s the case that the coverage isn’t strong in that area, we do have the Vodafone Sure Signal so there’s no need to worry just yet.

JJonas, I’ve spoken with the eForum Team and someone will be along on that thread shortly.

I can assure you that I’m not aware of any general outages at the moment. I’m working on Twitter today and that’s usually one of the first places anything like that comes to light with it being such an instant channel.

Edu-IT, I promise I’m not stalking you! Thanks for your positive comments though. :D

How’s the coverage in your area now? Is this back to normal or are you still having difficulty? If you’re still having any problems, feel free to get in touch (as above) and I’ll look into this further.

Best wishes,

Jenny

Ive still got no signal, and when I spoke to Vodafone customer services last night the person I spoke to said it looked like a fault in my area and they would raise it as a job.

Hi Kim,

I’ve just checked and can see we’ve received your email. I’ll get back to you as soon as I can.

JJonas, don’t worry, the Team will check everything out for you and can see if there has been anything raised for your area.

Best wishes,

Could I put a non-vodafone sim in my contract HTC Desire while this problem is sorted out?

also while they are fixing this any chance they can boost the coverage to the SE of North Walsham? Even when it is working it can be a bit patchy in certain areas.

Just to add in, I was down in Surrey for the past few days and on Monday evening/Tuesday day I had very erratic behaviour on my phone with the signal - couldn't ring out (ven though plenty of signal bars showing) texts not sending/receiving and most of time with no data signal showing.

It seems OK again now.

I thought it was just my phone thinking that London was in a different country and wasn't enabled for international roaming :)

Can we have a response from somebody on the Vodafone forum thread?

At 11.23am you said somebody would from the eForum team would be along shortly.

Vickye2707 Originally posted that thread at 9.55pm last night.

At 11.44am speaking about the problem her parents, who are staying in a caravan were having getting in touch with anyone. she said "Thank you, good its not just them but bad that I have had no response from Vodafone themselves."

At 13:01pm despite 101 views there has been no comment from the eForum team.

Can someone from the eForum team at least acknowledge her post?

Hi JJonas,

You can put another SIM in your phone providing it’s not locked to the network. If it is locked, we can request a Network Unlocking Code for you.

We’ve got a great tool here where you can provide coverage feedback. The more we get the better!

I’m pleased to let you know that the forum post is being looked at now.

Si, I’m sorry to see you’ve had network problems in Surrey but I’m pleased this is now back to normal. Should you have any further problems let me know and I can look into this for you.

Hi JJonas,

I can see from the eForum thread that there is a site in your area which is currently being investigated by our engineers.

If your coverage has changed and is now fluctuating, this is most likely a sign that they’re working on that site at the moment. :)

Keep an eye on it and let the guys on the eForum know of any changes.

I must say its good of Vodaphone to come and chip in. I am not a customer anymore but looks like it would be a plus if i still was.

The Web Relations Team are by far the best I've come across for any mobile phone provider. The Twitter support is, genuinely, 1st class.

Hi mac_shinobi,

I’ve just tried to reply to your DM however this was unable to send as you’ve exceeded your stored private messages quota.

Let me know if you delete any to make room and I’ll resend it :)

FN-GM and Edu-IT, thanks for your kind comments! If you need any help just let me know!

Best wishes,
