As the title suggests.. who's the best for Data/3G - oh and coverage

Currently on O2's Text & Web, but they only offer a max of 500MB a month, which is about to be capped at 50MB per day - with 300 Free texts at £10 a month

This has been fine, but since getting my Droid, I'm finding I am regularly going over the limts and from 22nd March I'll get charged £1 per Mb if I go over 50Mb and then £3/Mb if I go over the 500Mb/month cap

I've tried reducing my data rate - email (checked hourly - max time allowed), facebook occaisionally and foursquare now and then are about the main apps I use

Might give it another month and see - and try and use the WiFi a bit more (though at work that stops emails coming down..

Mrs Gatt is also on O2 so we get the reduced call rates, and she's more concerned about this going up!

Had a look at Virgin and they do a 1GB plan for £15/month

Don't really want to go to a Contract if I can avoid it (came off it as at the time PAYG was working out better value for money..)

Virgin are doing a similar thing with Blackberry's - though I hate the damn things and will never own one...

Really annoying that you can get special deals for iPhones and Cackberry's but not Droid's :(

Orange - £10 a month topup gives 500mb data not found anything about a max daily usage, 300 free texts ( i think its about that) but no minutes thus the £10 is mintues

Consider getting mifi from 3 or other provider...? can sit in your pocket and supply net for yours and other devices if required.

I think £15 gives you 3GB. £10 = 1GB.

3 currently have a payg addon of 3000 txts, 300 mins and what is described as "all you can ear data" for £15 a month. I will be moving to this when my current contract runs out.
