I've had a variety of usernames over the past however many years, and each had their own email address.

I want to settle on one username and one email address but keep drawing a blank on good username ideas (RabbieBurns, if you're reading this, your input is NOT needed :p)

Any ideas?

At this school we use the year that they started, 5 first letters of their surname and 3 first letter of their first name. So when I was a student here my username was 04grindtho

MK-3

Your welcome!

I'm forwarding this smart alec response on to witch for grammar analysis :p - I only used MK-2 here because Mike was used by someone that doesn't visit any more

rudeboybadman? :D lol

post duly ignored :p

Ohh sorry i thought you meant for students lol! :L

i'm not too keen on a02mike as my next username :p

MidnightMan :D

worryingly this is the most reasonable of the usernames so far :p

I would suggest going on a random username generator, and closing your eyes whilst you click "next"

After a pre-determined time, you open your eyes, and the first thing you see is your new username!

That worked for me, many years ago, and I like to think that I have aerospacemango pretty much wrapped up on the major sites ;)

LOL!!!

So....you start again, until your eyes rest on one that is not so offensive to your eyes!!!!

It may take awhile.....but it's gotta be better than MidnightMan hasn't it??? (Sorry Hightower....No offence meant!)

MidnightMan sounds like a shady character that people would invoke to scare the bejeezus out of themselves....Not an intelligent, tech-savvy person.................Surely??

so its spot on then :p

I'd definitely go with the funny-ish username thing. I've gone for that as an aspiring tech and still relatively green as it allows you to be pleasant and not too much is expected of you! If I were called, say, Windows XPert 2000 v1.22 people might think I knew what I was talking about! El_Nombre means I can get away with asking all the silly questions I need to as part of the learning process, and have the majority of my posts behind a certain red door and nobody (really) minds. I hope. :)

A few I'd go/have gone with that the filter won't cry about:

Bertstare

MischiefMonster

Umad?

IHopeThisUsernameWillFi

M0derator

Edit - If you're totally stuck and want a comical name, browse some of the shadier forums out there. You'll be spoiled for inspiration.

I know, I wish I beat you to the tech-savvy front that is 'aerospacemango'. Instead I'm stuck with a name like Hightower thus giving the illusion I'm big, bald, and black.

You'd be amazed at how many people have said that to me, over the years.......erm....wait....Errrr....Nope, you're the first, and even then, I can smell a whiff of sarcasm in the air!!!!

Mind you, that could be the coronation chicken sandwich that I had for lunch!!!

FYI: aerospace = Aerospace Systems Operator (Trade Group 12 - RAF) mango = Girlfriend (at the time) favourite fruit!

That is the genesis of my moniker!

FYI:

High = situated or passing above the normal level, surface, base of measurement, or elevation

tower = A computer system whose components are arranged in a vertical stack and housed in a tall, narrow cabinet.

In other words my computer is above all your lowely piles of junk, a very technical username! :D

Nice one, HT!!!

(Though the shortened version of your name looks suspiciously like you're an interloper from the "other side" - TEACHING!!!!)

Your girlfriend was a mango?? Crikey, I didn't think things were still that bad in the forces...

Mind you, when I were in t'Air Force, Mangoes were seen as an exotic fruit, and you rarely saw one.....

They were just a vague rumour....or something alluded to in the Um Bongo adverts.......LOL!!!

My 'Jawloms' was created by someone who could touch type and typed in my surname of 'Hawkins'. They didn't realise however that their right hand was one key to the right of the home keys. I've never failed to register it on a website. If they'd moved it left instead I'd have got 'Gawjubs'! It doesn't often produce anything readable, but worth a try? Of course it doesn't have to be the right hand which is moved etc..... You might get lucky!

Apart from the bad grammar...

A plea for a fun and interesting username that DOESN'T contain your real name in any shape or form - People like 'John' and 'Ric_' are just having a laugh - it's supposed to be a USERNAME not your own name. People who make their initials into a username are a bit cleverer - eg elsiegee!

As for mine - well it just describes me - so that's it.

Have you a hobby or great passion you could use? (as long as it is clean of course). Or something that defines you - such as the colour of your hair (again, keep it clean). I used to be 'The Red' on a few sites because of my hair.

Otherwise, I'd go with the random generator and just keep clicking till you get one you like! :)
