Censorent Not Filtering

My censornet box has for some reason stopped filtering all internet traffic, user accounts who are set as "Filtered" can access all sites in the block list and content filters. Anyone seen this before or have any ideas?

Is it still logging access for people?

 

Not being a cn guru (i've used it, thats all) I suggest a reboot in case any process has stopped/hung.

I would also suggest a reboot or a restart of services. Are you sure you have made any mistakes with entries in the walled garden ie whitlelisting a top level domain?

I have rebooted several times, have checked walled garden domain entries all seem ok.

Just tpo clear up this is happening to every website on the filter list, and it seems to be ignoring all keyword excpetions 2

Are browser connection settings being applied properly from the server?

Back to my original question then - are user sessions being logged by the CN box - this is the best way to check that people are actually browsing correctly through it.

Also linked to that is there a possibility that people can bypass the proxy to get onto the internet somehow which maybe happening becasue of some configuration error. Try banning a user and see if it says anything.

Sorry for delay in replying, have finally sorted this. Restored from a backup I took of the box at xmas seems ok. Now all i have to do is place the websites I have banned since then back into the block list!
