Dos_Box Posted February 6, 2011 Posted February 6, 2011 Just before Christmas they showed both Fringe and The Event with the promise they would resume after the Christmas shedule was finished. And so far there is not even a sniff of them. What's going on?
Domino Posted February 6, 2011 Posted February 6, 2011 You fail? there's been three more Fringe episodes...
featured_spectre Posted February 6, 2011 Posted February 6, 2011 They usually dont pick up until mid march early april...then go on until June/July then stop again until October...worked like that for the last 6 years as is my knowledge
Dos_Box Posted February 6, 2011 Author Posted February 6, 2011 You fail? there's been three more Fringe episodes... I had it scheduled to record and can't find it on the schedules. When is it on? Now I'll have to look 'elsewhere' to catch up
Domino Posted February 6, 2011 Posted February 6, 2011 Oh, are we talking UK tv? No idea I'm afraid - 'elsewhere' may be your best option...
PeteW Posted February 6, 2011 Posted February 6, 2011 You have Sky, login into the website and you can set up reminders for when the new series start. It sends out an email to let you know.
john Posted February 6, 2011 Posted February 6, 2011 Oh, are we talking UK tv? No idea I'm afraid - 'elsewhere' may be your best option... Remember DB enjoys his big shiny MCE Setup in his front room so it will be UK HD Sat goodness
Domino Posted February 6, 2011 Posted February 6, 2011 ... so it will be UK HD Sat averageness *fixed
LeMarchand Posted February 7, 2011 Posted February 7, 2011 The Event is on a mid-season break. It starts again in the US at the beginning of March, presumably soon after in the UK. Fringe you'll need to seek out, as it's restarted both sides of the Atlantic.
griffin Posted February 7, 2011 Posted February 7, 2011 Fringe is not back till aprl on Sky Fringe: Season 3 Sky 1 Return Date | Cult Fix
Hightower Posted February 7, 2011 Posted February 7, 2011 Anybody been watching the goodness that is on Sky Atlantic HD? I watched the first episode of Boardwalk Empire over the weekend and it was good. Looks a lot of good shows on there.

I watched the first episode of Boardwalk Empire over the weekend and it was good. Looks a lot of good shows on there. No (on Virgin) but not keen on either gangsters or (blasphemy!) Scorcese. Hoping Virgin will be carrying it by April in time for Game of Thrones, though.
griffin Posted February 7, 2011 Posted February 7, 2011 For me Game of Thrones is the only reason I care if virgin get sky atlantic.
LeMarchand Posted February 8, 2011 Posted February 8, 2011 For me Game of Thrones is the only reason I care if virgin get sky atlantic. It's not looking good. Just read a report that suggests that they won't pay what Sky want for it (which is probably extortionate, cf. the Sky One fallout a while back). Also read a report that a wave of TV piracy is expected to hit these shores as people seek that content elsewhere...
DAZZD88 Posted February 8, 2011 Posted February 8, 2011 I shall point you all to Watch Series. It has bucket loads of links to TV shows and gets episodes from american the next day.

Yeh pretty much no chance of virgin getting it soon as sky have pushed it as an exclusive for sky customers too.
L_Smith Posted February 8, 2011 Posted February 8, 2011 So can someone clear something up for me? Has Sky started showing Fringe or not? There are posts that say yes and no.
LeMarchand Posted February 8, 2011 Posted February 8, 2011 Yeh pretty much no chance of virgin getting it soon as sky have pushed it as an exclusive for sky customers too. Strange how they are confident that it's an exclusive while offering it at a fair price to other carriers... So can someone clear something up for me? Has Sky started showing Fringe or not? There are posts that say yes and no. TVGuide.co.uk says 3.10 is on on Friday on Sky2. If this is correct, new eps have been on since Xmas. It may well be on another break in the UK after the few eps that they have shown.
DAZZD88 Posted February 8, 2011 Posted February 8, 2011 According to EpGuides.com The Event will start up again on March the 7th in the US. So I'll be watching it March the 8th over here. The latest Fringe eps have been quite good. Although nothing can seem to beat the first season.
ZeroHour Posted February 8, 2011 Posted February 8, 2011 (edited) Strange how they are confident that it's an exclusive while offering it at a fair price to other carriers... It can take several months once they have agreed before the channel launches so for now its exclusive because they would pay sky for it and they are not interested. Sky Atlantic Sky Atlantic won't be on Virgin Media soon, says BSkyB boss | Media | guardian.co.uk I also didnt realise virgin'ers didnt get FX HD either, I wonder how many channels you guys are missing out on? Sky has over 50 HD channels now. EDIT: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_HD_channels_in_the_UK Looks like you miss out on about 28 HD channels sky have, fail! Edited February 8, 2011 by ZeroHour
