Gonk Posted February 2, 2011 Posted February 2, 2011 Afternoon all, Its that time of year again when all eyes turn to 6 Nations rugby The good news is that the first game is this Friday, the bad news is that it Wales v England. Wales are looking a little light player wise so it could be nasty :S Anyhow, I normally do a fantasy 6 nations team on ESPN Scrum to see how good a manager I am (or not as usually happens). I've created an Edugeek 6 Nations League if anyone feels like some rugby based fun. The League PIN is 7245, so sign up and enter a team if you fancy having a go. Cheers Ross
Robz Posted February 2, 2011 Posted February 2, 2011 Why not, just for the laugh of my failure Cya there... Rob
glennda Posted February 2, 2011 Posted February 2, 2011 I've just added my team - will see how it goes!
Gonk Posted February 3, 2011 Author Posted February 3, 2011 Welcome aboard! We currently have six teams in the league. Please note: Only teams registered by 19:45 GMT on Friday, 4th February will score points for the first match of the competition - Wales v England. Ross
jdoyle Posted February 3, 2011 Posted February 3, 2011 I shall join once I get home tonight but my track record of fantasy leagues to date is poor. Possibly lacking the diligence that opening the wallet demands.
featured_spectre Posted February 3, 2011 Posted February 3, 2011 joined *edit* I am surprised at people having bergamasco in their team when he got injured in training yesterday! lol
Haptic Posted February 3, 2011 Posted February 3, 2011 Well it'd be rude not to throw my scrum hat into the ring... Good luck to you all and may the best nation win.... i.e. Wales (ok so hopless optimist I admit)! Cheers, Mark
Gonk Posted February 4, 2011 Author Posted February 4, 2011 Morning all, A quick update - 11 teams now in the league! A gentile reminder: Only teams registered by 19:45 GMT on Friday, 4th February will score points for the first match of the competition!! have a good day y'all Ross
featured_spectre Posted February 4, 2011 Posted February 4, 2011 Bergamasco might make the team for saturday...no guarantee's but he is back in training today. Turns out it was an injured hand from someone accidentally trampling it during a ruck practice drill
Gonk Posted February 4, 2011 Author Posted February 4, 2011 Cool ta for the heads up. out of interest, anyone from here in Cardiff tonight?

pooley Posted February 4, 2011 Posted February 4, 2011 I will be in Cardiff later, prob in gatekeeper or old arcade. Not sure what I think about a Friday night international yet. But have woken up with a quiet confidence this morning

36Degrees Posted February 4, 2011 Posted February 4, 2011 I'm in: Castro's Conquerors. I've probably put a massive jinx on all of the players I've selected now! Shan't be watching England game as I'm off to watch Leicester Tigers play Bath in the LV Cup. Bit of a mickey mouse game but I actually like watching the players who are going through the Academy or are on the fringe of the First Team. Plus it's Leicester v Bath!!! Hopefully the England will be on the iPlayer tomorrow as my DVD recorder is a bit unreliable and I can't be bothered to replace it as it is only once in a blue moon I even think about using it.

Sky+ HD wins every time
36Degrees Posted February 4, 2011 Posted February 4, 2011 Sky+ HD wins every time Don't have Sky either! I've looked at it before and I wouldn't get my money's worth as most TV doesn't interest me enough to want to pay out that amount of money. Since the wife was made redundant it's been even less attractive...

Basicly HD recordable freeview plus a couple more channels over sattalite
localzuk Posted February 4, 2011 Posted February 4, 2011 Is there some form of sporting event on then?
