Tyrell Corporation

Weyland-Yutani

Cyberdene Systems

FRO DESIGN CO

ooh, ooh... Umbrella Corporation, Sunway Systems, Digicorp, Allcom

In seriousness though how about 127 Software or 127 Solutions, 127 is ofcourse shorthand for local but should still work from a branding point of view.

AyreSoft (as in Ayre's Rock)?

Slogan: Rock Solid Software™ :)

Only problem is that it should be spelled "Ayers Rock" - not sure how well the mis-spelling works (and shouldn't it be known as Uluru??)

Having said that, going with your own name may be no bad thing - it's done no harm for Dell or Hewlett Packard (although whether a Wozniak Macintosh would have been a success we shall never know :-))

Well spotted. :o I was looking at the Wikipedia page for Ayers Rock just before I posted that, but I still mis-spelt it. :)

I'm looking at the same right now too ... unfortunately GDK (GrumbleDook Knows), GDT / GDTech (GrumbleDook Technology) and GDIT are pretty much gone. GDKIT has most domains free though ... (GrumbleDook Knows IT) ... so probably going for that soon.

If you need something even shorter, gd.ki/t and gdte.ch are still available. :)

What about AyreWare? No one has registered any domain names for this.

the problem there is telling people the domain it needs spelling or it could be airware/airwear/ayrewear, etc

Yup, exactly that. If my name was smith, it'd be much easier.
