AngryTechnician Posted February 4, 2011 Posted February 4, 2011 (edited) Dos_Box, the angle brackets after items #12 and #44 in your list have been horribly misinterpreted by the HTML parsing code, and (on Firefox and IE at least) everything after that point (including replies) is in italic! Edited February 4, 2011 by AngryTechnician
kmount Posted February 4, 2011 Posted February 4, 2011 GAS is going twice, #2 and #47 (and yes, I am aware of the comedy value of this post)
Dos_Box Posted February 4, 2011 Author Posted February 4, 2011 Hmm, it appears to be 2 people sharing the same logon (differant real world names)!! GAS, front and centre and explain yourself! The real Gas that is.
witch Posted February 4, 2011 Posted February 4, 2011 Reading confirmation received Which NetMan - one of them lives near me and could be tapped for a lift!

Fixed that for DB as he's a busy guy
Dos_Box Posted February 11, 2011 Author Posted February 11, 2011 Ellie@Microsoft and I have been hammering out the details of the conf and have arranged for a 45 min breakout session for primary schools with the relevant people at Micosoft. This leaves secondaries at a loose end so if any secondary staff attending can think of any areas affecting you that you'd like to cover in a 45 min session that would be very helpful.
teejay Posted February 11, 2011 Posted February 11, 2011 The System Center stuff might be good to look at in this time.
Dos_Box Posted February 11, 2011 Author Posted February 11, 2011 Just added: MrStrategy gshaw To the list of attendees. 5 Places left.
Dos_Box Posted February 11, 2011 Author Posted February 11, 2011 The System Center stuff might be good to look at in this time. Already being covered. Think of something 'differant'.
Soulfish Posted February 11, 2011 Posted February 11, 2011 As teejay says System Center (although I think some of the larger primaries are using SCE?) would be good. Alternatively how about a 45 minute treasure hunt around the MS offices?
GAS Posted February 11, 2011 Posted February 11, 2011 Hi, No 2# GAS is Real and I'm attading, my colleague register under my log in name (as he do not have his login) But he is not attending . Please take 47# GAS out from list, and sorry if that confused any one.
EduTech Posted February 12, 2011 Posted February 12, 2011 You getting your pinny out then James No Comment! Surprise!
Dos_Box Posted February 17, 2011 Author Posted February 17, 2011 We still need to fill out a 45 min slot for secondaries whilst the primaries go for a break out session. I need suggestions ASAP guys as I'm closing this today. BTW, I've been ill this past couple of days so please don't think I'm being ignorant when I don't reply to posts/PM's/email. I was quite ill, and still am a bit, but I need to close this today.
teejay Posted February 17, 2011 Posted February 17, 2011 I would be interested to hear more about the Microsoft IT Academy if thats not already covered.
teejay Posted February 17, 2011 Posted February 17, 2011 Another option would be a Q&A session looking at things like group policies, Windows 7 Libraries, profiles, printers etc to get ideas on how Microsoft recommends dealing with all these sort of things.
witch Posted February 17, 2011 Posted February 17, 2011 Preferably something that really only applies to secondaries if you are talking about your spare slot - I would hate to miss out on some of the aforementioned FAQs! *hope you feel better soon, Dos_Box
AngryTechnician Posted February 17, 2011 Posted February 17, 2011 Wouldn't fill 45 mins, but maybe worth talking about DreamSpark 'High School' enrolment for secondaries. It's a lot less onerous than it is for universities and well worth it.

teejay Posted February 17, 2011 Posted February 17, 2011 Using Xbox/Kinnect in an educational environment, with of course time to test them out :-)
