Hi

We seem to have way too many printers in are school that are all different, e have 122 in different classroom, some network and some not, what anyone else like

One MFD for all staff to use (we did have 22 printers darted around but this was cheaper for us)

A cheque printer

A colour laser in admin office for letters and letter headed paper etc

A colour inkjet in head and deputy head office.

Total of 5. If staff bring their own in, I don't support it, or install it or buy ink.

About 20 here. Majority of printing is done on centralised large copiers, and then if deptartments want their own printer they can pay for one from their own budgets.

The admin team have a few, as they're spread out across a few different offices.

We have...

Nine networked Canon MFDs for student and staff use around the school. Everyone has a PIN code to release print jobs, but plan to move to contactless smartcards in the future. All print jobs get automatically deleted from the server if they are not released within 24 hours.

Three HP printers (two mono lasers and an A3 inkjet)

One Epson A3 inkjet used (very rarely) in Art.

About 50 network queues [from memory without logging onto the print server] mostly mono, a few colour laser, ink-jets and three networked photocopiers.

I have wittled down the number of printers that we have here.

We have:

4 networked corridor printers serving 20 classrooms.

3 in the office area

5 printers in 5 offices locally installed

3 printers in other areas

15 printers for a school with 450 children and 50 staff.

We have around 110 mixed local and network, I am looking to consolidate these down to around 30, giving each department a B&W and Colour Laser, the rest staying in Admin sections.

We only have a single HP 2015 in each department office. Its networked and staff can print to it depending on what location they log into.

Works well.

9x networked Toshiba A3 Colour MFD, 10x HP network printers in admin offices or ICT suites(mostly mono) & a handful of mono laser printers locally attached in SMT offices.

Down from over 50 network printers and 10 local printers 2 months ago. Only a handful of toner types to order now... bliss....

We currently have 116 printers which are mixture of network and local and 7 of which are MFDs.

We had a print audit recently which gave us these figures and our new plan is to increase the MFDs to 21 (inc utilising some of the newer network printers in our maintenance contract) and remove all local printers. We will then get papercut installed and manage all the printing in the school. Figures show this could save us 75k a year.
