Awesome, and congrats.

My fiancee is 6 months gone this week... eek!

Do you not think it's time to go looking for her? ;)

Oh and congrats solitaire89!

In 6 months time you'll be wishing it was still that size :D

Ha - I'm not thinking that far ahead. It's called "head in the sand" syndrome, and it's working quite well for me thanks :)

when they get to 14 months onwards (my daughter is 20 months old) its a whole new ball game! haha, she walks, talks, has tantrums...but on the plus side, when she wants cuddles she comes for them, we can play games together, and just yesterday i took her to an adventure playground which she loved, and screamed when we had to go because it closed.

Congratulations Solitaire.....

Never mind 6 months.....I've got a 6 year old, and I still wish he was that size!!!!

However, I'm gonna bet that the first time your baby says "I love you, Mummy", you'll burst into tears! It may be a while off, just yet, but when it happens.......There is probably nothing better in life! Although, my son climbing into bed, first thing in the morning, putting his arms around me and saying "Wake up, Daddy" comes pretty close!!!

Congrats! I remember those days..:) Lots of hospital trips in our case, but it all worked out fine. Birth is an amazing thing to see (if you've the stomach for it)...scary too though. "Would dad like to hold the baby?".."erm...er..yeah, ok..erm..now? erm..how? She's so tiny.." etc.

And yes, 14 months on we've got walking, climbing, tantrums, pointing, signing, reasonable communication (I can understand 99% of what she's trying to get across), lots of lovely cuddles (especially when we wake up)..it's brilliant and so much fun..;)

This morning she toddled off into the kitchen, came back with her water. Drank some, put it back on the table again. "would you like a biscuit?".."yes". "YES?!" Where did THAT come from? You didn't say that yesterday, yesterday was "ta"..and I'm sure we had a "please" too last night.

Trust me, it's great fun. I had the head in sand issue once too..heh. Wouldn't change her for the world now.

Thanks for all the congratulations! It's just sooooo exciting! We had a trip to our local big shopping centre at the weekend, which started out as a "market research" expedition, and ended up with us coming away having ordered a whole travel system - well we did haggle and got about £200 off, so it seemed worth it!! As for "would Dad like to hold the baby", forget that - I don't even know which way up to hold it! They say instinct will kick in, but I'm not convinced! Do they come with a manual?

NOOOOOOO....... You don't want to charge the damn thing up! Surely the object is to find the battery hatch and remove them, not to give them unlimited power supplied!

Or the on/off button

or for when the family comes round, on/off/demo switch

It's taken 3 months to get to this size, but I'm really pleased with the progress ;)
