I've got a cold and my already feeble grasp of maths has fled. I'm working on a flyer for BETT and want to include some facts and figures. what I need to know is this:

Given that there are 234 million websites in the world (Royal Pingdom » Internet 2009 in numbers) as of December 2009 and we are now ranked at 28,337. What is the top percentage we rank at i.e. are we in the top 1%, 2% etc?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Typical. Just after I posted this I thought 'I'll bet there's a site for this type of thing' and there is: Percentage Calculator

And we (according to that) are in the top 1.21%

Which isn't bad at all!

Nope you've got it wrong there DB :(

Your in the top 0.01211% I believe.

teejay's right :)

if you want a catchy poster just use:

only sites with boobs and balls in the URL are more popular than us

(then underneath)

coming soon, eduboobs.org

If your teaching staff look anything like most of the ones I've seen you wouldn't want any eduboobs.... maybe a niche market though.

Oh, I dunno - eduboobs just might mean that I am better at something than most of you lot. I am usually way down the knowledge pile and am continually in awe of the vast amount of IT knowledge most of you have...

i dont know where all your minds are. I meant:

Eduboobs - the classic blunders and gaffes made by teachers and kids

Eduballs - a stress relieving toy used by technicians to alleviate RSI

Honestly people, minds out the gutters!
