DAZZD88 Posted December 6, 2010 Report Posted December 6, 2010 (edited) Haha, Newcastle have parted ways with Hughton. What a poor time in the season to do it. I mean yeah, fair enough change the manager at the end of the season if you want to move forward and push on but not in the middle. ARTICLE All I can say as a Sunderland fan is 'I'm a little teapot'. Post edited to remove profanity. Mine version looks better I think. Edited December 6, 2010 by Dos_Box
Haptic Posted December 6, 2010 Report Posted December 6, 2010 Thats incredible! Whats the reasoning behind it, any idea? I thought he was doing rather well.......... Adam CP
DAZZD88 Posted December 6, 2010 Author Report Posted December 6, 2010 Well from I gather, Mike Ashley wants to move the club forward...how sacking Hughton does this mid-season though I'll never know.
DAZZD88 Posted December 6, 2010 Author Report Posted December 6, 2010 (edited) Hodgeson next hopefully... What, you want Roy sacked? Personally I can't help but feel sorry for the guy. After all, he inherited Rafa's ruins. I say give the fella a chance and I reckon he'd have a good team within a season or two. Edited December 6, 2010 by DAZZD88 I have dyslexic fingers.
Haptic Posted December 6, 2010 Report Posted December 6, 2010 I have no idea how that will help either. He seemed to have bought them on leaps and bounds of late. This weeks performance were'nt the best but............we all have bad weeks! His replacement is??

Hes more interested in making friends who tell him how nice a person he is and then go on to talk about wine... and its pretty much the same team that rafa got to eh CL finals and finished 2nd the prem, uncle woy has made some really poor purchases in Paul i cant run Konchesky and Christain what am i doing here Poulsen...

But wasn't that before Rafa started chucking people out left, right and centre? People like Mascherano, Xabi Alonso...? I don't think he's had enough time to mould the team around his way of playing football.
kevbaz Posted December 6, 2010 Report Posted December 6, 2010 (edited) I wouldnt be suprised if we had a new man in before January, as new owners would you entrust your $$$ in somone who has failed the past 6 months and previous buying record is filled with donkeys and old mates from previous clubs? King Kenny all the way The Alonso situation was the beggining of Rafas downfall, he was one of the keys to the brilliant squad we had. Masch became dispondant with the ower situation and had alot or admeration for Rafa. If the owers were not acouple of complete cowboys rafa would be in place and number 19 would be in the cabinet, of that im positive Edited December 6, 2010 by kevbaz
aerospacemango Posted December 6, 2010 Report Posted December 6, 2010 (edited) Hughton being sacked actually makes good sense. It gives the new boss 3-4 games to have a look at the squad, before the January window opens.... Then, you'd hope (as a Toon) that the new man gets plenty of cash to spend on bringing in "his" players, thus cataputling Newcastle into mid-table mediocrity, and not a relegation dogfight. Which, in this correspondant's opinion,, is where they were headed! As for my boys....QPR are TOP of the League by 4 points AND a game in hand! Up the Rrrrrrrr'ssss!!! *EDIT* As for Liverpool, I think that Hodgson should be given at least a full season. The man CAN manage, and I think that Liverpool will be there or thereabouts for a top 6 place, come the end of the season. Mind you....what do I care? I'm still pi**ed at them for pipping us to the League Championship in 75-76 season. WE could have been the dominant force in English football!!! Bleeding Toshack and Keegan scoring against Wolves in the last 15 mins....GRRRRRRRRRRrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!!! Edited December 6, 2010 by aerospacemango
DAZZD88 Posted December 6, 2010 Author Report Posted December 6, 2010 Fair point aerospacemango. I still think they'll make a hash out of it. I can't see Mike Ashley letting them splurge cash all over the place. And are you really that old, 75-76? QPR dominant force in English football?
AyatollahPies Posted December 6, 2010 Report Posted December 6, 2010 I'm really starting to fall out love with the game. I'm not a Newcastle fan but I think this is an utter disgrace.
Disease Posted December 6, 2010 Report Posted December 6, 2010 Newcastle make me laugh, will be funny if they go down again.
DAZZD88 Posted December 6, 2010 Author Report Posted December 6, 2010 Newcastle make me laugh, will be funny if they go down again. Indeed, then they'll be the yo-yo team of the North East.
aerospacemango Posted December 6, 2010 Report Posted December 6, 2010 And are you really that old, 75-76? QPR dominant force in English football? Thank you, Dazz....Thank you!!! Yes, I REALLY am old enough to remember when the best team in English football, that year, missed out on the title by 1 point! We went into the UEFA Cup, instead of the European Cup. We would've gone on to be the best team in England and Europe, and Liverpool would've just been another team from up north! We'd've probably bought Dalglish too, and dominated! Nurse, nurse....Do you have my pills ready? The madness has crept up on me again!!!!
GREED Posted December 6, 2010 Report Posted December 6, 2010 So, just how many managers have they been thought now? Answers on a postcard!
DrCheese Posted December 6, 2010 Report Posted December 6, 2010 I always find this really stupid, 11th in the league isn't bad for a team that was only promoted at the end of last season. It seems that unless you are in the top few, management jobs have a short shelf life. It's silly considering managers seem to just get recycled between teams anyway.

GREED Posted December 6, 2010 Report Posted December 6, 2010 There's a lot of phlem flying about here lol
DAZZD88 Posted December 7, 2010 Author Report Posted December 7, 2010 According to Metroradio, some idiot Geordie reckons they should try and get Guus Hiddink...didn't he turn down the Chelsea job? LMAO. One of the favourites is Martin Jol, with him reportedly ditching Ajax just hours after Hughton was sacked.
Hightower Posted December 7, 2010 Report Posted December 7, 2010 One of the favourites is Martin Jol, with him reportedly ditching Ajax just hours after Hughton was sacked. Too much of a coincidence. I'm sure Ajax are sitting 4th, which is no real reason to quit surely. If I had a free £20 bet I know who I'd be putting it on.
DAZZD88 Posted December 7, 2010 Author Report Posted December 7, 2010 Funnily enough I thought that too Hightower. I just don't rate Martin Jol all that much and even being a Sunderland fan I would have recommended they stick with Hughton.
Fatmas Posted December 7, 2010 Report Posted December 7, 2010 It seems Newcastle are taking the Manchester City approach to Managers.
