HP Procurve 2650

Whats wrong with Netgear, I use there kit a lot and its not that deep really, some is, but the majority is very slim now.

Ok heard back from my supplier and the ones they use are excel wall mounted ones.

 

WB12.5/SG FP is the part number of a 9U one.

we use the procurve 2650. we've had to replace half the cabs to take them.

 

The switches just seem to be getting bigger and bigger. the cab in the science block has been changed 3 times in 2.5 years.

 

We just bought a £5k core switch and thought it would fit in the comms cabinet because we were taking out 2x 2650 switches. We asumed they were the same.

 

There not. So we gona have to get another cab.

I've just put the order in and am replacing 4 cabinets for them. Our new 5400zl core is going into our server rack so we don't have to worry about that one...

Lol I have been through this too - 5-10 years ago when most of the cabs were put in switches were not much bigger than a fag packet - We are all HP procurve now and I have had big problems with cabinets. Some of them have had to have the doors left off, one of them i had to put the switch actually on top pf the cabinet and secure with duck tape

 

Not ideal!
