Just as a heads up for you all. We will be having a joint conf with Microsoft on Thursday the 24th Feb 2011 at the Microsoft campus at Reading. It's limited to 50 places and there will be more details after BETT, but suggestions for content would be welcome. Edited by Dos_Box

On another note, we still need content for the conf. My suggestion are:

Microsoft Labs and a look at eh shiny free things within.

A Sneak-peek at upcoming Microsoft products.

Ray Fleming also suggested that as we have to opportunity to access some of the biggest brains they have we should have a couple of product themed sessions. Any ideas?

Microsoft Academy/Microsoft Digital Literacy qualification recently introduced and going through the motions of becoming accredited.

As much as I like the idea of an overnight stay, I don't think I can blag that as I only live 70 miles away...

Same here but I'm happy to record a video acceptance speech :D

Certainly think I can blag a trip to Reading for the day though. More news on MPS2011 world be interesting. And what about their system security package? (looking at buying it next year).

+1 on Lync.

The systems center family of products could be good as well :)

OOOH, good idea

An explanation on WHY THE HELL THERE'S SO MANY ACRONYMS IN THAT PRODUCT LINE would be nice too.

or as I call it, Domino's WTHTSMAITPL SCCM session....

Live@edu (demo and comparison with Exchange would be nice), MS Security product lines. In these increasingly financially difficult times, demos or just awareness of freebie MS products would be nice to!

Will have to see if I can get the day off, though whether the school would pay is another thing...... Any of those £8 a night hotels nearby!?

I can come on the Wednesday Evening after work so would get to reading for around 7pm stay over night and come back Thursday Evening after maybe a few more beers :)

I belive in Reading they are called 'Wheelie bins'.

Come to Portsmouth, that is a higher class of hotel!

I have secured my pass for the event, possibly the evening too. And no blagging involved!

Wow! you're hoping some! I'd be amazed if they find someone in Microsoft who understands it...

Ray seems to, me and about 3 others talked to him at the Edugeek conference and all of us had different interpretations of Licensing but Ray's made most sense once fully explained, shame his answers = more money for us all to spend on them :(

Anyway, they should have lots of details on the Schools "campus" agreement by then if were not all bored of it so that would be good and SCCM stuff as it looks terribly complex still!

That would be great - my licensing is in a complete tangle and I need to sort it out - no one seems to be able to give me an answer ATM

Feel free to share with us on here Witch between us we have worked out various licensing issues, I was even talking about MS Licensing in the car today to a fellow IT Manager on the way to our area meeting today so its a very common pitfall.
