I wonder how much an EduGeek Suite would cost? (Jacket, Shirt, Tie, Trousers) :p (Socks)

Would be good if we could purchase this stuff through the site rather than just being available at the conference/BETT etc. Maybe with 10% going to a charity?

Oh, and going against the grain, much prefer the first tie ;-)

Not a bad idea there, when the donations are enabled again i know that all of the money raised by that will be going to charity, so this would also be another way to make money :)

Making things available to purchase via the site is something that has been in discussion for time now, and when the admins have found the best solution for this it will be made available :)

;) I'd have one of each :p

I would prefer a tie that was 'old school' style ... that what I can wear it at meetings / events and it gets recognised by those who should recognise it, but is not blatant branding. I frequently wear branded EG stuff anyway the same way I do with MS, Apple, Tux, etc ... but most stuff is just things that identify me as a geek of some sort (alt.fan.pratchett, O'Really, ThinkGeek, etc ...) I will probably get whatever merchandise is available anyway ... I think I am now the only person with a complete set of everything put out so far (including the early t-shirts and mugs).

As for the handshake ... there already is one for tech support ... and I'm not talking about an SSL handshake either.

If we are to do this properly with a silk tie (if I can get one) then trust me when I say that adding 10% on top for charity would make it very expensive. Even a ployester tie would be about £20 for a design like that.

Tell me about it, my xkcd one was something like $35 USD + P&P.

A tie would be nice though us females don't wear them often!

How about an edugeek ring???

Wouldn't really be the best thing to wear whilst at work, unless it was rubber ;) oppose to metal :)

What no Edugeek boxers!

I like tie number two as well make it happen.

One ring to rule them all?

Oh yeah :)

I wear 8 rings every day and have no issues - that's because I am careful to turn off the power and keep away from capacitors and the like as I was taught by my lecturers.

Another vote for tie number 2!!

As for sales lines - I now have "This is not just a tie - this is an EduGeek Tie!" stuck in my head - lol

One more and we'll need to create a "Ringwraith" member status bar for you @witch; :D

I'd prefer a Mason-esq Tie-pin, with a logo that only fellow Edugeekers would know. We could then create a special handshake too.

Great suggestion, can we do that pleeeease??

What about us females?!

I'd quite like a badge, not some manky button badge, a proper metal thing!...or a mug!!

EduGeek Lingerie?
