I know there are a number of threads out there already but if we can merge them in it would be good.

There's also the Facebook privacy guide at Ars:An updated guide to Facebook privacy: December 2009 edition (it may be a bit out-of-date, but bearing in mind Ofsted is leaning towards "educate to use safely, rather than block" it's appropriate.)

A sort of online course with some useful materials, resources and games.

The course aims to introduce tutors/managers to the issues involved in making information technology safe for learners - whether they are children, young people or adults.

 

The course will:

 

■Provide a guide to the many resources available on the internet.

■Help tutors to give advice or prepare lessons which cover the major issues of e-safety.

■Enable managers to consider what their organisation's response to the issues should be.

Each section of this course has some introductory comments or definitions which will put the material into context.

Found this short guide intended to help parents' understand risks of children using Twitter. Fairly basic e-safety info that probably applies to more than Twitter, but not bad. Andie found out that we're fine to produce our own versions of the KCC poster as long as we credit them.

 

Attached to this post is the one I've done in word... not perfect, but at least it's editable!

If you want to see the text boxes in Office 2003 use Tools>Options and go to the View tab then check the Text Bondaries box.
