tmcd35 Posted May 21, 2010 Posted May 21, 2010 That's all I'm saying, just god (or any other $diety, I'm quiet agnostic so I really don't care which imaginary entity wants to take credit) bless aircon!!!
plexer Posted May 21, 2010 Posted May 21, 2010 I'm thinking of migrating back to the server room from the new ict workshop as the server room has the aircon Ben
mbird Posted May 21, 2010 Posted May 21, 2010 Im not in the server room and yet i have a portable aircon unit sat next to my desk chilling me....
soveryapt Posted May 21, 2010 Posted May 21, 2010 We've just had aircon put in one of the ICT Suites at one of my schools (the other has had it for a while) and given this ICT Suite might as well be in a conservatory (literally, it's made from the same stuff and nearly as much glass) it is a flippin God send ..
tmcd35 Posted May 21, 2010 Author Posted May 21, 2010 Just took a walk in the glorius sunshine over to the junior school to look at a PC. I think I left half of me in a puddle on the floor. I don't know what temp it is out side but an ICT suite with 20 computer pelting out heat and no air-con or fans is not a fun place to be. I trapsed back to the office enjoying the sun a bit less, feeling grimey and sweety, yueck! Grabbed the remote - 19 degrees C - I think I might just turn the oscillate on for a bit of fun

Next week, our helpdesk will consist of us working from laptops sat under the shade of a tree in the field. Our Datamanager said that would be a nice idea, but then remembered the little brezze blowing through and the 800+ pages of reports she was dealing with so decided its maybe not such a good idea. Im not in the server room and yet i have a portable aircon unit sat next to my desk chilling me.... Got the Air Con in my office and was helping, but doesn't help my office gets full sun on its flat roof and thus we bake
