Before I start im well aware of the potential legal issues with ripping content blah blah...

Anyway, we have a couple of pupils who have been in nina and the neurons on the BBC, the head has asked me if there is any way of getting a copy to keep long term. My first thought was ripping from iPlayer but I know its not easy.

Does anyone have any ideas on how to obtain a copy of the show either through legit means or from slightly dodgy means?

Thanks

If they were your students, you can request a copy directly from the BBC

Thanks pscott, can you be more specific, like with a phone number or department?

BBC provide iplayer downloader, so you can just used that, normally used it to get episodes of top gear ;)

I didn't know that! Does it still embed DRM?

It's much easier than you think (see screenshot below for details), although for some reason Nina and the Neurons isn't available on the iPlayer website.

If it was broadcast a couple of years ago it won't be on iPlayer anyway- so that should get the HT off your back.

I understand you can pay for copies if he wants to pursue that with the BBC but that should be something for his secretary and not you.
