CHR1S Posted April 20, 2010 Posted April 20, 2010 Ok its a great idea but my god counting them is a pain.. our parents must spend a fortune there!! Ill give you a running total as I go
Little-Miss Posted April 20, 2010 Posted April 20, 2010 Ohh i feel a competition coming on! Bet mine spend more then yours!!!
CHR1S Posted April 20, 2010 Author Posted April 20, 2010 ok, i bet you a packet of hob-nobs that mine collect more
CHR1S Posted April 20, 2010 Author Posted April 20, 2010 Total for today - 1994 which is = to a fuse licence/keyboard or a bee bot lol!
speckytecky Posted April 20, 2010 Posted April 20, 2010 Probably of absolute no interest at all but I way ours on the postage scales - 190 gms = 500 vouchers. 2
Little-Miss Posted April 23, 2010 Posted April 23, 2010 lol you're on! I havent counted mine yet! But just you wait!
featured_spectre Posted April 23, 2010 Posted April 23, 2010 total at ours so far is 6000 (give or take a few)...last year we made it to 58000...hoping to beat that target this year!
rad Posted April 23, 2010 Posted April 23, 2010 What are you all going to buy with them? TBH some things are worth the vouchers, others aren't. We want to do a raffle with the top prize as an iTouch, not sure we will be able to though.
enjay Posted April 23, 2010 Posted April 23, 2010 Its infants, they would never do it lol! Really? I find our Primary kids are much better (and more accurate) at counting them then the Secondary kids are. That said, it is the Juniors not the Infants who count them.
enjay Posted April 23, 2010 Posted April 23, 2010 Probably of absolute no interest at all but I way ours on the postage scales - 190 gms = 500 vouchers. And your scales are sensitive enough to register that you have put 190g not 189.62g on (the weight of 499 vouchers), are they?
powdarrmonkey Posted April 23, 2010 Posted April 23, 2010 And your scales are sensitive enough to register that you have put 190g not 189.62g on (the weight of 499 vouchers), are they? We did this last year and yes, they were. In fact, we weighed them so accurately we knew if a corner had been torn off one of the vouchers in the pile.
speckytecky Posted April 23, 2010 Posted April 23, 2010 (edited) But does that include glue and staples? No - thats vouchers in the raw! Our count as of today 2000. Plus, of course, a handful of the blue ones from last year!! No doubt as usual there will be a flood of the darned things after we post them off. Edited April 23, 2010 by speckytecky
enjay Posted April 23, 2010 Posted April 23, 2010 Our count as of today 2000. Plus, of course, a handful of the blue ones from last year!! Yeah, we always get those too - where do people keep these things that means they can still find them a year later?! Also, Sainsburys ActiveKids vouchers, Nestle cereal box tops plus the ocassional chocolate wrapper! No doubt as usual there will be a flood of the darned things after we post them off. Especially now that the DHL collections are so early AND they've removed the later banking deadline. We used to place an order in June and then send the late-comers off for banking in September.
witch Posted April 23, 2010 Posted April 23, 2010 We bought the LEGO robots last year and are going to buy some more this year. They are great for teaching control to the children (years 5 to 8)
FN-GM Posted April 23, 2010 Posted April 23, 2010 What are you all going to buy with them? TBH some things are worth the vouchers, others aren't. We want to do a raffle with the top prize as an iTouch, not sure we will be able to though. cant see why not A few years ago we put them through a money counting machine.
