Gatt Posted April 16, 2010 Posted April 16, 2010 Thought I'd post a few of these since I got it working! 1) Main Inbox Folder, showing the new Conversation threading 2) Calendar view in OWA 2010 3) Home Screen for the new "Exchange Control Panel" (aka the Options screen) which now allows admins to manage their organisation 4) One of the new features allowing admins to manage mailboxes via OWA (names removed to protect privacy)
link470 Posted April 16, 2010 Posted April 16, 2010 Wow! That looks like just a really nice version of Hotmail. Looks good!

nadeem Posted April 16, 2010 Posted April 16, 2010 Of course if you're a live@edu customer, that's what we've been using for ages the thing that annoys me the most is that when I login I don't go straight to the manage organisation by default rather than my inbox, though that's probably a reflection of my usage!
john Posted April 16, 2010 Posted April 16, 2010 (edited) Just trying to get ActiveSync to work now - keep getting error 85010014 when i try to sync Craig, i've fixed it on mine, was a piece of cake - ActiveSync Code 0x85010014 Should just say I ticked the inherit box, synced (which now shows my phone and its details in the Phones section of OWA so you can see the details (it only shows the last 4 digits of your phone number) and its working great Edited April 16, 2010 by john added more details
mb2k01 Posted April 16, 2010 Posted April 16, 2010 I had a similar issue which the above link (inheritable permissions etc) partly fixed. I then found that I had further issues with my certificate configuration which only seemed to affect Widows Mobile devices (iPhones were fine for example). I had to speed up my plans and get an UC certificate which related to both internalservername.domain and externalsubdomain.domain. This also helped solve some issues with Outlook Anywhere. I found https://www.testexchangeconnectivity.com/ really useful during my troubleshooting / testing - big thumbs up to MS for making that available! 1
john Posted April 16, 2010 Posted April 16, 2010 Agree with that site mb2k01 its a great site and I checked mine out on it, I have a multi domain cert and its all valid and signed etc so it wasn't that it was the inheritable permission that got me it stops Active-Sync making a partnership for some reason but once its paired up its fine that you loose the inheritable permissions bit.
pritchardavid Posted April 16, 2010 Posted April 16, 2010 damn new version looks much better! i'll have to get ours upgraded, scared of breaking it through lol
john Posted April 17, 2010 Posted April 17, 2010 damn new version looks much better! i'll have to get ours upgraded, scared of breaking it through lol It also works in Safari and Firefox in the full client rather than the light one
04nunhucks Posted April 17, 2010 Posted April 17, 2010 You're joking right - never seen OWA 2010 before? I'm missing something - someone pinch me, this is a dream.
john Posted April 17, 2010 Posted April 17, 2010 You're joking right - never seen OWA 2010 before? I'm missing something - someone pinch me, this is a dream. Its real it comes with Exchange Server 2010 if you are being serious that you have never seen it.
Gatt Posted April 17, 2010 Author Posted April 17, 2010 It also works in Safari and Firefox in the full client rather than the light one Not tried in FF yet, still need to get ActiveSync working...
ZeroHour Posted April 17, 2010 Posted April 17, 2010 Am I the only one who noticed the farmville tab? LOL farmville
Gatt Posted April 17, 2010 Author Posted April 17, 2010 @ZH - lol yes I admit - I play farmville - as do a few other members!!
john Posted April 17, 2010 Posted April 17, 2010 Not tried in FF yet, still need to get ActiveSync working... 1 Tick box solves that see above Trust me it did mine and it seems a VERY common issue
Gatt Posted April 17, 2010 Author Posted April 17, 2010 If its the inherited permissions - already done that
Gatt Posted April 17, 2010 Author Posted April 17, 2010 Ok the Inherited Permission box was still unchecked - re ticked it and its working - woohoo!
john Posted April 17, 2010 Posted April 17, 2010 The Inherited permissions box un-ticks after a very small space of time if you are a member of any enterprise / domain admin style groups, so you tick it, apply it, force a sync within milliseconds and then you pray to the god of MS that it works fast and if you prayed hard enough it will remain ticked for long enough to marry together and you will be fine from then onwards Or you could do as you should and not be a member of those style groups for your day to day account thus meaning you don't have the issue as standard users can sync without that box its just admin types.
IanT Posted April 17, 2010 Posted April 17, 2010 (edited) Outlook WebApp in firefox runs a lot better than in IE............here's my screenshots of it in FF, been using Exchange Server 2010 since last year, easy to setup: Edited April 17, 2010 by IanT
p858snake Posted April 17, 2010 Posted April 17, 2010 Am I the only one who noticed the farmville tab? LOL farmville Don't bag it, till you try it Nice to see that bookmark folder for linux :shifty eyes:
04nunhucks Posted April 18, 2010 Posted April 18, 2010 Its real it comes with Exchange Server 2010 if you are being serious that you have never seen it. Nope, I use it everyday. We have the privilege of having Windows Server 2008 R2 with Exchange 2010 and all of the new servers as they come out.
