Still waiting on our 2 XJ-A145s.

Yes Casio are only shipping in very limited numbers of the 140-145 models at the moment, I know there is a large amount of back orders to be fulfilled but we still have no guaranteed dates of delivery for them as yet.

Casio did say that they would have fulfilled all back orders by mid May however they said the 130's would be in stock in February as well!

I've now been told ours are available by our supplier, so will be arranging installation soon. :)

Nice one, I know Casio are trying to get product into the UK as quickly as they can but demand is so high.

We have told people to place their orders now if they want them as at least they will be higher up the waiting list. I have even been asked to supply other dealers as they are having a tough time getting stock!

Yeah they are a great product.

Hate to say this but Ric mentioned he has a 155 unit on order, if you have ordered a 155 model I do not think you will ever get it!

I believe the 3000 lumen models have been pulled.

I have my lovely 130 unit and I installed it on Tuesday :) Very nice bit of kit as well :) Just a little noisier than I expected, but the room was silent when I fitted it so get the kids in, PCs on etc it will not be heard I'd expect :) Really nice bright crisp image, colours very vibrant so very much worth it. The 130s seem in quite easy flow now, my local AV specialist has I believe 2 in-stock at present and waiting to ship as have the main people so I hope that the 130s are going to keep flowing nicely :)

Its miles better than the Smart Unifi it replaced (we had the earlier model that looked like a man's you know what ;) ) so anything tbh is better than one of them but its a really nice unit, just don't need any other projectors to go pop now as I haven't budgeted for any more this year!

Does anyone have one of the wireless ones of these? Is it simply a dongle which connects to a PC, and if so, what is the range? What is the lag like?

We are going to put projectors into our IT Suites, but are struggling to decide which PC would be best dedicated as the "teachers' PC" - an adapter which would allow the teacher to project from a PC of their choosing would resolve that one.

Yes, and no it isn't. The device has a wireless dongle in it, which transmits as standard wifi, which a client then connects to via its own SSID and custom software. Doing this means you end up not being able to use a normal wireless network at the same time, without using a second wireless adapter on the computer.

That wouldn't be a problem as the PCs in question are on wired networks (although who knows what the future brings!). So, I could install the software onto all the computers, and give the teacher a USB wireless adapter which they connect to their chosen computer - yes? Would giving staff the rights to do this cause me untold headache (not sure what other "powers" I'd open up to them), or do you reckon it would be viable?

We have recently bought one of these and it came with a simplified remote aswell as the genuine remote in the box. A great idea and a great projector
