Hey all,

My first child was born yesterday (Thursday) @ 8pm. Her name is Emily Louise Garriock and she weighed 7 pounds 1 3/4. Both her and mother are healthy so far. She was supposed to arrive on the 1st of January but she was a little late :p (probably takes after me ;) )

They are staying in the hospital probably until Saturday but I cant wait till they come home :D

I will be attaching pics soon when I find the damn cable for the camera....

:D:D:D:D

Attached a pic from iphone. Better ones to come.

Congratulations! She's gorgeous! :)

Congratulations!! Hope Mummy and Emily come home soon :-)

Loads of pictures is a must, sit her in the same position on the same seat every Sunday for the first year for a weekly one.

Congratulations ZeroHour. It may not feel like it when you're up at 3 in the morning but now you have a baby life will just get better and better.

Congratulations ZeroHour!

Nothing more rewarding than becoming a parent! I'm only 22 but I know my parents say non stop how proud they are of me all the time and I know they must be stoked. I can only imagine what it's like from your guys' perspective as parents.

Congrats fellow Father (that will seem a bit weird for a while).

In all seriousness if you want any tips on stuff that you actually want to ASK before receiving ;) then feel free to PM... We got bombarded with so much stuff that conflicted it caused no end of trouble.

Here however are my quick nuggets that helps us save our lives..

Infacol

Learn to wind properly! (not just breastfeed... although you may find it tricky to do the latter :D)

Muslins (you can NEVER have enough)

Small changes

Nursing app on iPhone for keeping track of breastfeeding (so many of them are a pile of t*ss)

... and lo' I fall into the unsolicited advice trap... :getmecoat: ;)

Well done, only another 4 before you catch up with me.

Practical tip, always make sure that life continues as normal when baby is sleeping. I have obeyed this golden rule with all my kids and they will sleep through everything. My 4 month old you can hover around and he won't stir.

Oh and those tax credits rock, you get extra for the first year after birth, apply now!
